How does one go about requesting a color being added to the list? I like that acid green pearl even better than gelbgrun.

Getting a PTS color added to the list...
color with a custom order for a PTS Porsche. In certain cases
when your dealer knows you well as a customer, a color will be
requested BEFORE an actual order is placed. In either case, a
sample of your requested color is provided by you to PAG & they
begin a feasibility study via their paint suppliers. That could take
a year or more.
B) In this case, the 'Acid Green Pearl' was already tested & approved
for the materials used on a 918. Thus, there is a good chance it
will be also approved for the various metal & plastic panels of a
991/981. But what is not known is PAG willingness to share that
color with the general customer base. In the case of another 918
approved color, 'Sport Classic Grey', it was mysteriously allowed to
be ordered by a few clients on the 981 Spyder & perhaps other
models without ever making it to the 'approved' PTS list. But that
was a Porsche color previously done for one of its own Limited
Edition models. In the case of 'Acid Green Pearl', PAG might have
promised the VIP 918 owner that his color would not be shared
with others via PTS for a number of years. It's hard to tell without
asking the appropriate authorities at PAG.
So that is a short tutorial on requesting a PTS color added to the
list. Good luck!

Not sure if you heard but CNN just had a breaking news reporting Queen Ace with many exotic german cars sank in the middle of the big storm we are seeing in CA. Sorry to break the bad news specially to AC with his PTS car on board. This is truly saddening to say the least.
