Default GMG prep for COTA!

Just a few pics after getting my car back from GMG.
I had Allen and the guys at GMG do the following:

Gen 1 bar/cage in white
Sparco EVO european spec
Schroth PROFI II-6 HANS in red
GMG center bypass
GMG WC suspension track set up
BMC air filter (since the bumper was off!)

The pics are of the cars assembled for enclosed transport to COTA. This is a 3 day event starting Friday. I have not had a chance to drive it yet, so it should be like a totally different car. Should be interesting to say the least.

Sweet! I saw your car while mine was there for GMG's center bypass, alignment and pads. Loved your wheels and the car looks great! Good luck at COTA.

Me too! I only got the center bypass and air filters. Thinking about roll bar & harness could be next..

Euro spec side markers look sharp, and how about those canards!

Default COTA weekend

It was a great weekend at COTA. Speed Ventures and the COTA staff did a great job. The first sessions on Friday and Saturday were wet, but for the most part the track was dry. The track is quite a challenge. The mix of tight turns and long sweepers keeps you on your toes. Tires seem to get chewed up. I had a brand new set of SC2s and tread was down to 1/32 by the end of the three days. Very even wear, thanks to the GMG set up. I ran tire pressures 25/29 starting and getting up to 30/34 hot.

Here's a Harry's video of a lap on Sunday, I'm chasing Curt from Washington state in a 997.2 GT3 RS with a GMG exhaust, tweeted suspension and Hoosers.

He's a better driver than me!

Definitely would like to go back next year. What a great facility.
