Thank you for the great comparison from an owner's perspective. In early 2014, i had the opportunity to order a speciale, but passed up the offer and went for the 991 gt3 instead.

For the Ferrari you have complains about the brakes and the seat comfort. To put things into perspective, may I check if you have PCCB or Steel on your gt3, and if you have the LWBs or 4/18 way.

Thank you for the reply. Mine has the PCCB and buckets.

I always crave a little for the ferrari, having never owned one, and after driving my gt3 for a while, always wondered how it is like. Your comparision gives me some insights and i felt good that the GT3 fare well against its rival. Maybe i can pick up one of them in a few years time, if i have the financials.

*And since this is your initial thought, do write more when you have more to share!

Great write up. My buddy is getting his Speciale in May/June timeframe. Can't wait to drive my GT3 and his Speciale to see how different they feel.

Great write up as everyone else has commented. The Speciale is the next dream car for me, but I already get enough unwanted attention with Mexico Blue so unless I move into the sticks, I think I may have to stay out of the Ferrari club. That is what's great to me about the GT3, classic 911 shape so not everyone thinks you have some spaceship car.

Write up is particularly meaningful coming from an owner of both, eliminating brand loyalty bias. Thanks for taking the time.

As you say gt3 has the most technically brilliant double clutch.
If you had to pick one over the other to own which would it be? I currently have a 15 991 GT3 and an RS 4.0 but have the Scud itch pretty badly. I'm very torn and owning both isn't in the cards at this time.
If you had my dilemma would you keep the GT3 or swap out for a Scud? I understand they are 2 different animals altogether...

Thanks for any insight

Without question, I would keep the GT3.

With a 4.0, I would pick a scud. The best of the best for you. IF I WERE TO PICK. But i like them all.

Terrific review. With the Stradle and Scud I had similar problems with the race seats. After 20 minutes I had a headache, sore neck and back. I considered order the race seats in my 430 Spider and my sales guy talked me out of them.

That said, if there is one car with that special sense of occasion it is a Ferrari. The GT3 is the closes Porsche to meet that occasion.

But, you HAVE a spaceship car, Darth.

Han Solo: Watch your mouth, kid, or you'll find yourself floating home! We'll be safe once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides, I know a few maneuvers. We'll lose them. This is where the fun begins.
