I don't want to spend that kind of money, but when I'm pissed and dissed, it might make me feel better...

The 458 Speciale is quite epic. Sadly, they aren't making any more new ones (they stopped giving out allocs a while back, then fabricated one more final one for James May). They're cranking out the limited edition 458 Speciale A right now.

Of course, this is Ferrari, and if you're a VIP, they'll do almost anything for you. So whether or not allocs exist is irrelevant in the right circumstances.

i was at the Ferrari factory two weeks ago (was in Europe for my friend's FXX K unveiling) and they are still making Speciales - saw a bunch on the assembly line. in fact, my Speciale haven't even started production yet (but should any day now)

Ah, wow, interesting. Good to know! Clearly the info coming out of Ferrari isn't accurate (to public media outlets).

I'm 6'8 and owned a 430 Scuderia. I couldn't fit with a helmet on. BBI took the seat brackets out and created their own that bolted it to the frame of the car and all the way against the firewall. They were able to drop the seat height about two inches.

I had the same thing done to my 997.2 GT3. Have way more room in my GT3. I had to kind of slump down in the seat to be able to fit in the Scud. Plus right turns were kind of tough because I had to move my head around the damn rear view mirror. I got used to it. It worked out ok.

My biggest problem with tracking the Scuderia is that something always seemed to go wrong. It was also extremely expensive and took forever to fix because we had to wait for the part to come from Italy.

But when she worked, boy was it a great car. Balanced, poised and great fun on the limit. Those magical days kept me chasing the dragon for 18 months!

Im only 5'10" so plenty of headroom for me. If you get racing seats you can get it without the seat height adjustment and it should be fine. Great car, if you get a chance to drive one do so. Very different from GT3... different philosophies however they both get to the top of the mountain.

OK status update, just locked in PTS for A-1 Black now shifted to status V110-IMP text handling required. So built date is in limbo

Default PTS, Voodoo looks good.

My SA called and updated me on my RS order. Voodoo Blue looks good. Will be moving from LO so have to redo my interior options from the LO/Black to Silver/Black.
My freeze date is September 2nd. Tentative delivery date is December.

So anyone hear what the PTS production dates will be? I guess its going to get down to timing.

Haven't heard on timing yet, but my UV order was a Dec delivery due to LWB delay - hopeful that PTS pushes it out to March/April delivery.

I have a PTS targa order coming that was shifted from a July slot to a September slot due to earliest PTS slot availability about 5 or 6 weeks ago. But they might have been holding slots for RS orders, so who knows.
