991 GT3 RS - Confirmed Orders
#601
Just got off the phone with my GM. He said just because that Atlanta dealer got additional cars recently, it doesn't mean all the allocations are out. In other words they don't do round two in one fell swoop. He did say that December will be the last build month for the RS. He also has not heard of any additional MY2016 GT3's being built. He did get his PTS notification today for the RS. He also indicated that if I get a late build, there is no guarantee I can get a PTS car.
I was told they have heard of 2016 GT3s but that he has not heard of allocations being sent out yet. (but it has been confirmed on here that there will be a 2016 GT3)
Still unsure of the RS allocation time table but he is still confident that I will get one.
I would be very surprised if they stop making the car in December 2015 especially after they have extended the GT3 production yet again.

Same thing happened to the 2015 991 GT3, and apparently the 2016 991 GT3 (which was never supposed to happen -- even if it'll be just a short run).

I have A-1 Black as a request still haven't heard anything, it isn't on the list yet is a standard color for 991 so there is a bit of a conundrum. Eduardo would know a lot more.
I find it funny that it's called "Paint to sample" which used to mean you send in a sample and then they paint the car that color, but now it means you get to pick from a list of approved colors they all ready have......
Whatevs I'm just glad to get a car

Got an allocation
Stopped by the dealer today to prod the manager to make sure I am not getting bumped down the list by other customers. He turns around to look it up in the computer and he tells me I already have an allocation and my car is scheduled to be built in October. V200 with a commission number. Nice little Friday surprise.

That's what we hear all the time, indeed. However, I met with dealer yesterday. She showed me the two most recent communications they have from PCNA re RS. It clearly indicates that PTS will be July/August builds.
Then it states that buckets will delay production 10 weeks... Not sure what it means when you combine this to the PTS comment unless they are going to prioritize PTS, which would delay other cars. That is, if the 10 weeks aren't already factored in the timelines. (My hope)
