This is an interesting and thought-provoking concept. For the most part, manufacturers seem to keep a ~8-10 year model fun with either mid-term cosmetic/performance refreshes (a la .1 to .2) or periodic cosmetic/performance refreshes (a la GTR) to maximize the R&D costs as well as keep consumers interested. To think PAG would basically do a pretty significant overhaul for the .2 in order to keep interest would be a big shift in mindset when the 991 has been and continues to be critically acclaimed. A change from NA to FI along with cosmetic changes would seem to be significant enough for the average consumer to want an upgrade, or bring new consumers to the market base.

On another note whats thoughts on resale without lift and track app?
I have a dedicated track car so cannot imagine tracking it more then a couple of times a yr...if you saw what it does to my race car My car runs RaceKeeper
so I get my rocks off on that video/data.

I appreciate your input!

Lift is the only option for me that is a must have other than color. Helps in certain situations to have lift especially if using it as a street car.

No lift for me. I can buy a lot of Chin spoilers for $3000. More weight and more things to go wrong.

Valid point, but to be honest, I don't think it applies to the majority of 911 (or Porsche) buyers.

The majority still want new 911's, regardless of NA or Turbo. And if Porsche markets it properly, it will have practically no negative effect on sales. In fact, it might have a positive effect.

You, me, others on here... We're the weird ones.

That is my thoughts too. I really believe that when it comes to this particular model buys care about every ounce

No lift for me either. I don't like the idea. Just be more careful and store some lips.

Even with the lift the lip probably going to get wear because sometime people will forget to use it or it can't help at some steep places.

I got the lift, but I never used it in the GT3. I did not get the sport Chrono. My car will never see the track.

It's not just the lip spoiler there is an even lower ground effect under the front which scrapes before the black lip spoiler. If I were just using at track I wouldn't have the lift either but imperative for actual street use. I use mine every day. I agree though more things to go wrong...

This is exactly why I always spec the Lift.

There are some place you can't get in even with the lift.
Also, most rs owners have other cars to drive daily.
As I said just be more careful and plan ahead.
For me I most will take rs for track or Sunday morning drive. So should be ok without lift.

In this case lift is a must. All depends on where people will use it and where to park it regularly.
