The Story Behind the PTS 'Signal Green', 'Arena Red Metallic' & 'Fashion Grey' gt3s!

'Peru Red' gt3 available at Porsche of Freemont in California!
Mooty just sent me the specs and CAlexio had given me the heads up a few days ago. My thanks to both.
There is a $7,000 clear film over the entire car. They would also be asking for you to pay for that too!
'Peru Red' is not my favorite color...but it's damn rich & elegant. It's going to be one unique color on the .1 gt3, so it shouldn't last long!
The person to contact there is salesman Vincent Milazzo:
Good luck!

Yeah, haha. Some of these last minute PTS GT3's are very weirdly spec'd.
Sadly, this is why I am not trying to grab one of them, despite my strong affinity for PTS (Fashion Grey or Signal Green, I'd be all over those).
I don't like leather air vents as, in my experience, I've seen the leather dry up prematurely.

Suggest both you and your dash air vents stay away from the rays of the mighty sun!

PS This guy was a professional truck driver in the US all of his adult life. Only one side of his face got sun...hence the uneven aging!

Was there ever a 'Birch Green' 991 gt3 at P of San Diego?
Some of you that carefully read this thread so far might recall that
the trigger for this whole 'story' started with a conversation we had
here on Rennlist over a 'Birch Green/Lichtgrün' (color code 253) that
was supposed to be available at Porsche of San Diego. I described
it on my opening post on this thread:
The leads that led me to seek out this 'Birch Green' gt3 are found at
these two threads:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...een-gt3-6.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...available.html
It seem pretty clear cut there was a 'Birch Green' gt3 involved, no?
Besides myself at least three individuals I talked to (Kyrocks, Calpolo17
& Montoya) recall specifically talking to Porsche of San Diego about
their available (due to customer cancellation) 'Birch Green' gt3,
including this public post by Montoya on our forum:
Well, I don't believe this 'Birch Green' gt3 existed. I have
information that points that Porsche of San Diego never
had a 'Birch Green' gt3 coming in at all! Instead, the PTS
gt3 in question was none other than the 'Signal Green'
gt3 that was allocated to them under the 'dealer reward'
program I have explained on this thread.
For reasons not clear to me (or to the knowledgeable
gentleman who informed me the details of this story),
P of San Diego staged an elaborate disinformation
campaign describing their PTS gt3 as 'Birch' when in
fact it was 'Signal'. Of all the Porsche dealers in the
United States, P of San Diego knows very well the
difference between the two colors. P of San Diego,
back when it was called Pioneer, specced two PTS
'Signal Green' (color code W25) 997s in MY2007,
of which I eventually owned one. And they also
have ordered on spec two PTS 'Birch Green' Porsches -
a .2 997 gt3 RS and a 911 Turbo S, the latter which
Kyrocks eventually bought via an exchange with his
dealer in Texas.
So why the ruse, why the mystery? It doesn't make
sense. But one thing appears clear. The so-called
'Birch Green' gt3 is apparently only a ghost!
Add that to the other unsolved mystery in this story -
the 'Fashion Grey/Modegrau' gt3 that we believe
Rusnak Pasadena was awarded by PCNA as part
of these 30 late allocations. This Modegrau gt3
has mysteriously now transformed itself into
'Mexico Blue'. We will get to the bottom of
these two stories sooner than later!

So I started a conversation with Bob
about the disappointing behavior of P of San Diego on my last
contact with them. As some of you might recall from previous
threads in Rennlist at Calpolo17's thread, I (plus a few other
Rennlisters) learned about a supposedly 'Birch Green' gt3 that
surfaced in San Diego a few weeks before. It was reported to
be a canceled order which was going to be available at MSRP.
I talked to one of San Diego's salesman twice after a Rennlister
(Kyrocks) provided me his info via a PM and communicated
with this dealer by email too. Then silence...and I assumed
(correctly, as it turned out) the car was sold to someone else!

All of the 30 late allocation gt3s, which include the many in 'Signal Green', some in 'Arena Red Metallic' and a few in 'Fashion Grey / Modegrau', are being built as we speak and NONE have yet arrived in the US.
