Nice to know so many Rennlisters will come to the aid & give fruitful advice in this situation. When you're spending 150k+ on a car you've work hard to get, it's suppose to be a great time not moments of angst.
Good luck!!

Take your business to the Porsche Exchange in Highland Park, IL - nothing but good experiences with them and they have earned my loyalty. Heck, they have never taken, nor requested a deposit on any of the Porsches I have bought. When they told me I would get a GT3 it was done. Nothing in writing ect. When is was time to build it they called me to come in and build it with them.
For a new Porsche, I won't go anyplace else.-Richard

What's the drop-dead date on your sales contract? I was in a similar situation... Expected car end of December but it came early and I wasn't ready to pull the trigger at the time. They gave me a month so 48 hours is unreasonable.

My car arrived early by almost 3 weeks. It's in the dealer. I am in a conference and when I come back this weekend, the next time I can get off is the next weekend. No problem they say, long as I get the car by the end of the month to include in sales number.

Update: Dealer send me a package contains many documents for me to sign. And the salesman called me today talked about the 48 hours policy. He says it's a policy of their dealer. And he keeps telling me there are hundreds of people who want this car.
I know he is talking bs, but how should I fight back? Need some advise.

+1 for the exchange
Been dealing with them for years and they appear to be stand up.
Bought a car from the other dealership mentioned here and experience was not quite what it was agreed to.

Just let me know. I can be there on 3/9, 3/13, 3/14, or any day the week of March 16th.
*dealerships in the Chicago area are closed on Sundays. FYI.
And if you want to grab the car early, you can store it in my heated garage till it's a more convenient time for you to drive home.

I guess you have no choice. You have an arrogant SA but if you want the car, send the money and don't look back. You're a number to them so they lose. No future business.

When you initially ordered the car, and placed the deposit of $10,000 with the dealer, did you sign a document saying that you will take possession of the car within 48 hours of dealer preparation of the car? Please double check the documents you signed.
As for international wire transfers, three working days is typically the maximum time period, but some of them are funded within 24 hours.

Thank you for the follow up, I got the car from them. They explained that they had bad experience before like fake check or something, so they prefer to get the money first and release the car to me, since I'm a new foreign customer. I understand their concern, so I won't blame them for all this after all.

When I ordered my car, they had me sign a paper that said I had to pay within 4 days. I called the sales person and told him that it was a pretty tight schedule to try to meet. He told me not to worry about it and that they don't enforce that requirement and some other conditions on the paper. When the car arrived, it took a number of days going back and forth to get the paper work straight but it was no problem.
It's interesting that being from out of the country didn't concern your dealer. My dealer told me that there is a condition imposed by Porsche that the car must not leave the country.
