Default Without any further ado, my custom GT3 build.

I have been a longtime lurker on this forum, and despite my access to inside information, my family owns a large factory authorized Porsche center in LA, the members of this forum have served as an invaluable resource. For that and all of the awesome questions that us 911 nerds can finally have answered in one place, I thank you all!

To that end, despite having many 911s, it is THIS car that I finally felt was worthy of sharing. It is my second GT3, and after living through the 2014 recall and stop sale, I jumped in again wholeheartedly partly because I wanted to disprove the creeping notion that Porsche had lost its edge with the last car, and partly because I believed that after all of the issues with the 2014, that Porsche would imbue the 2015 with something special and make the modern equivalent of my ideal Porsche; both as a DD and as a backroad specialist.

It has been a long time coming, and after many hours spent researching the part codes, potential electronic niggles that might present, and figuring out an oem solution to solve the potential Ram Air inlet issue inherent in removing the spoiler, I am finally ready to announce myself to you all on here. I hope you enjoy the car as much as I do! I only have one car, and I use this car as my DD, and thoroughly enjoy every moment. The combination of the sharkwerks exhaust at 9k RPM, and the ridiculously sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's makes for an incurably addictive experience.

Modifications

Platinum Wheels painted in Satin Black

Sharkwerks Exhaust

Factory PCCB's in Yellow painted in Sport Classic Grey or Greymode or Fashion Grey (HAS to be seen to be believed; Its the perfect complement to the interior Platinum Grey stitching)

Both keys painted in Sport Classic Grey to match the PCCB's

and OF COURSE, the DUCKTAIL :thumb up:

ENJOY!

What I like most of all is that you parked in the 458 parking spot. Well played, sir.

Ditto. From the pictures i can't see a ram intake, just regular 911 turbo vents.

Interesting look for sure.

wouldn't eliminating the ram air be detrimental to performance?

The wing is integral to the GT3. I can appreciate being unique, but I like the wing

I think it looks ok, but IMO the GT3 needs more rear downforce rather than less.

If the only thing separating a GT3 from a GTS is a wing we really have problems.

I like the wing don't get me wrong...

I give him some credit for trying a tasteful mod. It's only a wing! Nice job on the calipers too.

To the OP, how did you do that rear engine grill with the intakes??

Is it custom?

You posted, now you have to answer questions too!

And take the criticism too ...

If I may ask, why not just buy a turbo?

It's actually more than a wing, hence all the questions on performance. Removing the largest air intake for the engine may actually make the engine be closer to GTS performance (only 45 hp difference). Not to mention cooling performance and reliability.
