Thanks!

I've heard that noise when turning slowly into my garage at near full lock, but not every time. It doesn't matter whether the lift is up or down. I've never tried sawing at the wheel so I've not heard the lovely dual tones you caught on your vid. I've also never noticed it on the road at any kind of normal speed. My guess would be that it's a harmonic coming from the suspension; it sounds to me like a sound you'd get from the springs rubbing in their perches, or something similar. I doesn't sound like it's coming from the steering per se, but who knows.

I'll be very interested in what they tell you when you take it in; hopefully they can reproduce it.

If others are reporting it hopefully it's just a normal noise for the car....coming from a GTR, a car that sounded like a broken washing machine sometimes, the noises won't bother me....

I was with the service manage today and they had the same problem with another new GT3. The noise was located above the shock body, I think they called it the Hiem nut that needed to be lubricated or the spring. Problem solved, no more noise at slow speed.

Amazing how these issues happen (with all types of new cars) despite the amount of real world road testing by the manufacturers...I guess they are complex machines. Hope they fix it for you.
I pick up my white gt3 this Saturday...can't wait!

I have the same intermittent sound. Doesn't always happen. but usually at full or near full wheel lock and slow moving. I'm taking mine in for 1200 mile oil change tomorrow. I'll have them lube the hiem nut, etc.

Ha!!!! As I was playing the video my wife started looking out the window and said " what the heck is that? It sounds like a clown train going by".

After a chuckle, I told her it was from my computer.

Anyway, sorry, but at least I got a laugh from it!!

I've had similar noises when moving slowly near lock in an Audi TT, but only after I swapped in more aggressive front brake pads that squeal like crazy. I've always assumed it was a brake pad to rotor resonance when rolling just at the right speed (brake pad noise). But I suppose that doesn't explain why it only happens when the wheels are turned...

Well; you've got conflicting diagnoses here; I am anxious what the dealer finds. FWIW, mine doesn't make that kind of noise.

Guys can you please post exactly what your service center is going to lube or tighten as in what they write on the job card. I want to show it to my service center. Also can someone post an image of this heim nut?

thanks
