Default New Plates

I needed to go to the tag office to work on fixing my GT3 plate. It was driving me nuts being off center, so I was able to add a space to get it lined up.

While I was there, I pulled the trigger on the plate that I've always wanted but have been afraid it's a little too douchey. This is going on the M3. I think it increases the chances of getting keyed and draws a little more attention than what I am comfortable brining upon myself. I went to get F80 M3, but it was taken. I also thought about GRMN I6.

I'm going to put it on the car and test it out. If I feel too weird, I'll get something else.

Just read your entire thread. And man you're good in documenting your new car. Recognized your nickname and F80 M3 from Bimmerpost

Default Titan Open House

I had many hours to kill with my son today. My wife was hosting her sister's baby shower at our house, so it was "boys" day out. I knew he wouldn't last long at Titan's open house, but I wanted to stop by for a few hours. Then it was on to the go cart track where he as an inch and half too short.

I knew a few of my GT3 buddies would be there, 996 and Black 991; but I was shocked when the mother-load showed up fresh off the boat. It was Rum Bum's brand new 991 Cup Car!

I snapped a few hundred pics with my measly "regular" GT3 next to it.

I'm making a call to Suncoast on Monday. I want the decal to get rid of my raised letters.

The sapphire blue stands out so much! In a good way! The Cup car looks insane. I remember when I drove 5 laps on the 997 Cup. My hands were shaking when I got out of the car, and I can only imagine how much more insane this new 991 is.

A bit off-topic:

What is your opinion on tinting the windows on your GT3? I read up on the tints you got on your AW M3 and I really love it. Is there any reason why you haven't done so on the P-car?

P.S. Like many others, I can't thank you enough for the entertainment and educational value of all your posts.

Ed.

Edit: Not AW, it's Mineral White!

Great pics! I really dig the added width to the front of the Cup car.

Money, send me a pm with your address. I will send you a GT3 decal for the back. I ordered a few and have decided not to use the black.

Hi Matt

I've been following your interesting journal and I have to admit seeing pictures of your car convinced me to go for Sapphire Blue as oppose to any other colour so thanks for the good work and knowledge sharing.

I'm expecting my car in two weeks, asked the dealer not to wash the car just remove the protection film and check the car. Once I pick her up I would like to clean/ decontaminate the paint as you did on yours. What would you recommend to use to remove the film glue residue? Any other advise please?

Thanks in advance

I love the bike rack on that 996. Wish there was a no cosmetic impact option like that for the 991 gt3 so that I could put a bmx bike up there from time to time.

Thanks for the kind words Ed!

I have the exact same tint on my GT3. Llumar Formula 1 Pinnacle 20% on the sides and rear. Llumar AirBlue 80% on the front.
