I have four of these with 5000K T8 bulbs. I'm going to add two more and see what it looks like. I may also do some under cabinet lighting.

Money, COSTCO sells LED garage lights rated 3700 lumens and good for 50,000 hours. These things are not the prettiest lights but a frigging bargain at $39.95. You can install multiple sets and leave your garage fully lighted for the cost of one Bigass fixture. A note of caution is that light color is rated @4100K. Not The whittest of lights but pleasently warm.

Thanks for the tips guys. LED just doesn't do it for me. Something about T-8 Fluorescent lights appeal to me. Especially since I finally discovered 5000K lights. It makes my sterile environment look like an operating room and make taking photos so much easier.

The garage light on their site lists the temp as 5000k. I may try one in the summer. I like light and my garage is lacking.

Too funny, I was really wondering about what lights you used in garage--thank you. Headed to the depot this weekend...

Let me know what you think. Bigass's site is very well done and their technology certainly appeals to me, but I just can't get on board with LED. It doesn't look as good. Their site actually shows that my energy cost would go up by $9 a year in comparison to my T8s.

That, and I think they are like $600 each. So I would be dropping like $3,600 for lights. Yikes!

Default Complete Car Washing Process

I was washing my car last weekend and got the camera out. I attached a list of all of the stuff I use to wash to the car. CCBs make the list a bit shorter. If I keep making these goofy videos, I need to spend some time to figure out how to do it right. I have a wireless Lav mic system on order and have to get an eyecup to help me see if I'm in focus.

I haven't noriced anything funky with my LED troffer lights. But I may not be as discriminating. One thing I did NOT want to deal with is replacing fluorescent bulbs as they age and start to flicker. Same for the ballasts.

Hi Matt,

Great videos.

Sorry if you answered this already and I missed it: is there a foam gun you recommend for someone without a pressure washer?

Thanks,

Josh

Our Rennlist buddy AC SATCO sent me some bulbs to play with. He's a lighting geek like I'm a detail geek. I can't wait to play with some different color temps and test out some LEDs. I'm living the nerd dream!

Looks lovely.

P.S.
You should blur your address! You don't want people stealing your GT3
