because from my point of view, my research, it is the most emotional version of the ever produced iconic sports car the 911.
why the 991? because previous models look old compare to 991 design and technology offered.

I am 30. First 911.

I wanted more street driving comfort and I was tired of the clutch, H-shifter...I will still drive manual PDK flappers (auto seems like cheating..lol) but mostly I want to free my mind to focus on the line and braking and not the rev match/manual clutch down shifting complication. I will be way faster too with my current skill set. From a Poser standpoint, It is the best looking GT3 to date by far, imho.

Of all the GT3 s this is the most special because it's not a one trick pony. All Jekyll is boring. All Hyde looks good from a distance and for bragging rights, but only really fits the bill on the track. This GT3 is Jekyll when you need it and Hyde when you want it. That IMHO makes it unique among its breatheren GT3s and the most desirable.

Well, I wanted a high revving NA car and I have had a couple Porsches and the GT3 was always one variant that appeared to have eluded me. I also wanted a rear wheel drive car and a good looking wing that looked like it belonged and not after market. The 991 GT3 had all the boxes that I had wanted to check

Because it kicks ***. I traded in my C4S which was really nice but I wanted one that kicked more ***.

As I made clear in the other thread I bought it to meet and have something in common with hot soccer moms who were drawn to the 991 GT3 because of it's auto box and DD capabilities.

More seriously, it was because I always wanted a GT3. I suspected the 991 version might be the last NA model and I wanted in on the fun before it was too late. I can reasonably drive it on the street and be competitive at autocross without mods and constant tire changing. As nice as other Porsche models are, this one has a presence that can't be denied if the reactions of everyone who sees it is any indication. It hasn't disappointed......

I've always wanted a GT3, its that connection between man and machine. I was never in the position to have a prior GT3, so this one came and the opportunity arose to which I seized. A GT3 is what I wanted from a technical stand point, a track car and the practicality that can be driven every day. Once I got to know more about the car, it hit all the right notes. From the stratospheric revving engine, to the PDK with a sequential character and what the car over all embodies. Most of all, it's a car that Porsche got right, by many different perspectives (and mine, from the passenger seat at least). I would also like to mention that I think the 991 is the most beautiful 911 shape ever, and in GT3 form by far surpasses anything from the past.

I love my NA E90 M3, but wanted a car that one more step towards a track car. The kids are grown so I don't need 4 seat anymore and now that college educations are paid for, I can move that money to track education
