If Porsche would CPO the car and you planned to keep it long term the 6 yr./100k warranty might make more sense to some. You could log a lot of worry free miles.

Pretty sure PCNA stated that they are not eligible for CPO when some dealers asked.

How does one get a 6 year / 100k warranty?

From Porsche, on these cars? You don't. Beyond the extra engine warranty they do on the replacements... You can't add CPO from what I've been told.

That's what you get on a certified car. But it doesn't sound like PCNA will be offering the program on these.

Default I guess my old GT3 sold at auction

I have not been on rennlist in a few months, ever since PCNA bought my 2014 GT3 in fact. I was looking through the various posts and saw that my old car was sold at auction.

Sapphire Blue, VIN # ...ES183114.

I guess that answers the question of what was Porsche going to do with the lemons. I hope the new owner enjoys it more that I did, and that it won't get recalled again.

Did you order a 2015 or just decide to be done with it?

A buddy of mine just bought a 2014 GT3 with ~300 miles on it that is CPO'd from a dealer. Warranty statement says 6 years / 100k miles.

Not all of them are "Lemon branded" cars, though. Those that aren't are eligible for CPO.

Only those listed earlier in this thread (plus a bunch that are upcoming, apparently) are branded, and thus not eligible.

I gave up on Porsche after being treated so poorly. Long saga.

I am really enjoying a Jaguar F Type R. Not quite as good on the track as the GT3, but a much more pleasant daily driver.

I believe you are not alone in your opinion on the Jag.

Why won't Porsche CPO a lemon car?

Is it just me or does not granting CPO eligibility to the '14 GT3's show a lack of faith on Porsche's part???

In some cases, I believe Porsche requires a certain amount of miles on the car to be CPO'd. Not positive on that, but I remember hearing that once at the dealership.

The Mckenna Porsche dearlership in Southern Califoania has had 3 "auction" buy-back cars and one '14 engine swap/non-auction car on sale during October. All were represented to me for sale and covered with a 6 year/100,000 mile full Porsche warranty, not just drive train only coverage on the extension.
