1) cars are coming out of warranty, and people fear potential expensive failures
2) Issues like the cam adjuster failures, centerlock, and coolant line failures give people hesitation or fear for tracking or even driving the car
3) Value of the car rising leads to a phenomenon where people drive the car less for fear of damage or decreasing value
All of the above makes people want to drive the car LESS, even though the car is supposed to make people happy when you DRIVE the car. It's a paradox, isn't it? People want the car because it's fun to drive, but don't want to actually drive the car....

This post really got me thinking a bit more about the 997 GT3. I think there is a very interesting thing going on with those cars right now. Nobody will deny that the 997 GT3 is a very great car because of how FUN it is to drive when it comes to involvement, feel, etc. It is for that reason that the car has held value/gone up in value. However, the very reason to own that car (ie the fun of driving the car) continues to decrease as time goes on. Hear me out on this:
1) cars are coming out of warranty, and people fear potential expensive failures
2) Issues like the cam adjuster failures, centerlock, and coolant line failures give people hesitation or fear for tracking or even driving the car
3) Value of the car rising leads to a phenomenon where people drive the car less for fear of damage or decreasing value

I still drive my RS every chance I have.

Nice! Let us know your build out when you decide on everything. I got my Coms number and delivery date Friday (1/23). Sounds like we will be taking delivery around the same time. I went with Dark blue metallic.
