I'm not sure but if it wasn't Park Place it most likely is. Sam lives in the town they are in. I was texting my salesman last night wondering if he knew you. Would love to see your RS sometime.

No one really knows me at Plano. They just gave me the allocation. I just dropped in. I wish Park Place gave me one as I have been loyal to them. Oh well. I had to grab the first one offerred to me. Both first rate dealerships though.

Gladwell does all of my dealership work now. Much better attention to detail than getting whatever bozo they pick off the line to work on your car.

Good to know. He does zwebach's green RS too. He does a lot of the local track guys cars. I use one guy at Park Place. Service has treated me very well.

I understand that. I've been begging for an allocation and wasn't paying over MSRP so yesterday was a happy day. I've been with these guys sine they were boardwalk and have always had great experiences. Park Place is awesome too, just bought a GL550 from them and had an awesome experience. So I don't see going wrong with either. Congrats again!

Hey now

Why do we get pissed at dealers asking over MSRP. How many 4.0 owners are willing to sell theirs at MSRP? If so, call me. Do we call them stealers - no..

Its a market - demand and supply pure and simple. If demand was soft they would sell them under MSRP.

Congrats to the OP. Having said what I said - I wouldn't by a GT3 at over MSRP.

My RS Cam adjuster just failed and the bolts back out wrecking my engine. It was off track. My warranty ended 5 months ago. Park Place got me a brand new engine through Porsche. They went to bat for me. I appreciate that and will use them when I can. On the flip side, it's a business and they will sell cars to the highest bidder, which is usually not me, and I respect that.

We are actually very lucky to have 3 excellent dealerships to enjoy the Porsche product. Competition is good for the consumer, however I have never played one dealer off the other. Park Place has always been my go-to dealer. It didn't work out this time. I have placed a deposit for the 991 RS at Park Place some time ago and I will buy from them if I can.

back to back. same road...
I can't say I like one over the other. need both
one is half price of the other!
one is very analogue
the other is digital, I say that as a good point
u shift more in 991
ur are much busier blipping and working the pedals and shifter in 997
997 is smaller in reality and in feel
991 more stable for sure
now I need the rest of the weekend to clean them up

mike in Ca
look I stole ur car....

I should have stayed out of this section. This thread has me dialing for an allocation.
