I am not a big fan of WSIR. The landscape is very rocky there. Cars running off will often shoot good size rocks on to your windshield.
My favorites are BRP and CVR. Mostly sandy runoffs and relatively easier on the tire wear.
ACS and MLS are smooth and a lot of fun also but watch the concrete barriers!

Any updates to this? I was looking for more pics of your car's wrap and I stumbled upon this.
Those are some blazing times at BRP and ACS in your M3. I hope your GT3 smashes those times.

My first time in norcal, coming from from the Pacific Northwest last month, the AIM Solo gods reported:
1:42.63 at Laguna
3:37.11 at thill 5mile
This is a 2011 GT3 RS, stock suspension, Trofeo R's.
Lots of faster cars passed me at these events.

3:31.4 on the 5-mile course (had 2 days to get quicker)

I will probably go to CVR to meet up with SanDiegoDavid whom I met at ACS last weekend. We owe each other a ride along. BRP will be nice and cool in November. I am super excited to see what lap times I can pull compared to my prepped E92M3 at CVR and BRP.:-) You going?

Posted lap times should include any modifications and tires being used.

3:31 seems like a pretty darn good time. I'm at 3:36 in a 991S with R888s. My 3-mile bypass time is actually a few tenths quicker than yours though. My guess was that on the 3-mile it can probably run around 1:55-57.

I hold the PCA track record at Thunderhill in my class (stock 997.2 GT3 RS, albeit on slicks) with a time of 1:57.5. This is with the Cyclone ("over the top", not the bypass). However, I've gone even faster, posting a 1:56.1 with the bypass.
In my 997.1 Cup I've done a 1:51.0 on the 3 mile bypass. On the 5 mile Cyclone I'm down to a 3:18.6. It will be very interesting to see if a 991 GT3 can best any of these times. I'm pretty confident it can surpass the 997.2 RS, but I'm doubtful it will outrun the Cup.

I also did 1:39.9 @ Laguna and 1:51.x @ Sonoma, but both of those did not feel right, so i think there is much to be gained.

Comparing the same driver in different cars would be great.
I have my GT-R times at these tracks, so I'd love to see what a 991 GT3 can do.

I'm still bummed that the 991GT3 didn't make it to the MT DCOTY competition this year. We'll never know how fast Pobst can do a lap with it at Laguna now....
