My first weekend here but I ran a couple 2:44's. I think locals run 2:40's in GT3's so a hard lap would be sub 2:40 with just pads, light weight configuration, CS package and good alignment.
Maybe someone can see what the GT3's run here In qualifying for the race group.

"Another interesting snippet that came our way from a senior industry source is that problems have continued with the new direct injection flat 6 set to feature in the new car, even suggesting that the car may not yet be so equipped!"

FYI, we have several GT3 RS owners reporting issues in the German forum PFF about the car "diving" so much in compressions on track such as the famous one from Fuchsröhre on the Nordschleife that the tires touch the plastic cover inside the wheel arch. It goes as far as the plastic cover being damaged.
Two videos as evidence of this problem:
1) See at 2:20:
2) See at 1:45:
Has anyone encountered this issue on other tracks?
Really serious problem IMO and very strange after so many test kilometers from Porsche on the Nordschleife.

IMO, we need a recall campaign for a redesigned fender liner to prevent this tire rubbing ... could become safety issue if the liner shreds and pieces come off.
The base 991.1 GT3 had new fender liner redesigned and accompanying recall campaign because of an aperture without protective mesh in the two original front liners would allow pebbles through ... the front fans were getting damaged. After some months of complaints, PAG sent new liners installed by dealers.

New GT3R testing at the Ring yesterday. Curiously, it was running the old motor per sources at the track and the report below suggests they're still sorting the new motor......
Sure looks wicked though.....
