Hi Peter:
Honestly I don't know - think it is 3 k km. I need to check this out in the manual.

Got an issue with water temp sensor yesterday. No more read out on the temp gauge and both fans running fully. Oil temp was very low so - arround 55° C. Had very low oil and water temp in the morning and two days ago. I am a bit suspicous about a defective thermostat. Also maybe a sensor is gone. Will bring the car to the dealer on Friday. Will keep u posted.

Annoying thing is, Porsche reset the fault but didn't change the sensor so it'll probably come back!

Had that exact same problem last weekend. Got the warning message and water temp readout stopped working. Message said to drive on. But fans came on full (presumably to prevent overheating) and after that oil temp go so low the blue light came on and the car started making strange exhaust noises so I stopped and had it picked up. Annoying thing is, Porsche reset the fault but didn't change the sensor so it'll probably come back!

Same thing happened to me Paul (and Peter) just recently. They reset the code and sent me on my way. Annoying as I'm sure it's the thermostat and will fail later. Good news is the circuit is stuck open so the car is running cool and won't damage anything. I found after sitting in the traffic the engine finally got to temp and the situation resolved itself...

PS: Panamera Diesel loaner is a big barge

Saw an RS in the flesh for the first time today (lava orange, silver wheels, ceramic brakes). Looks big, mean, and expensive, with a serious race car vibe. The vents and intakes still look just a bit much to me, but Porsche has made it work. Would like rather nice sitting in the paddock and on the track, and I can imagine lots of smiles while driving it. The lava orange looks kind of like a 'pastel red' to me, and I think it really suits the car.

That's interesting. Mine happened in the evening after being at the track where I spun the car in the wet onto the grass then hosed it off. I did a few extra sessions then parked it up in the rain while we had a few beers and a BBQ. Maybe it does have something to do with water. I wonder if Peters issue started in the wet?
