All I plan to listen to on the stereo in this car is the sweet sweet engine sounds coming from outside my rolled down windows.

The three wise men.

Honestly, if you want luxuries do yourself a favor and buy a base GT3. You'll just end up frustrated in an RS.

I'm still torn on taking the radio delete. I figure an Ipod + battery powered dock would be a better option if I was doing a longer trip and wanted music.

I would take a radio delete if there was a way to play an iPhone through the car, but I don't think there is without the radio. Also, speakers must be present even with audio radio delete I assume based on the z28 requiring them when no radio was added on so chimes/warnings would be audible.

If it doesn't get rid of the speakers, probably not worth doing then. Wish there were some more details on it.

I believe the Z28 has just one speaker for the chimes/warnings. With the radio delete, it wouldn't make sense to keep all of the standard speakers but who knows what they'll do.

I don't know music, artists or what I like. I push buttons and I like or not like. Music not part of my bubble.
At 30Mph puttering around here even an RS is silent enough to be on Bluetooth and sometimes I need some background noise even when there is a trooper on my bumper.

I do go cruising for chicks sometimes, there is about 5 minutes of A1A between work and home.

You had me at hole in the roof.
I feel really old at 43, but I actually downloaded my first streaming app XM and after 20 aggravating minutes I figured it out and it plays on my Blue tooth radio. Longest I ever stuck to a technical challenge.

Guess I didn't need am XM antenna on the 500E after all. No hole in the roof though, I had it routed when they put new glass in

We'll see how I like it and I hope the new RS has a place to put the phone within reach to change stations?

Guess I am changing the build on the RS and re-send to dealer.

Wrong.

RS plenty comfy for only car and you need downforce on track. Even the 4.0 was?!
The only radio delete benefit was that you can put stuff in cubby hole but new RS left door pockets in place it looks like, so we are all set.

Plus GT3 is awesome, but what if, you know you just want more?

997.2 RS drivetrain and road noise was all consuming. Some of us like to kid ourselves that we are still young and it's plenty comfy. But you live on a billiard table so your view of world is skewed.

Maybe creampuff 991 RS will be different and sipping lattes while surfing twitter on handheld will be norm.

Just keep it around 3000RPM in auto?

Remember I had General Muddin' tires on my RS and they were silent.
Roads are pretty flat here.

991RS is new Fiat.

My understanding is that the radio with the sound package plus option includes 9 speakers. Deleting all of this saves about 20 lbs.

I'm not sure how many speakers there are if you don't have the sound package plus option. I have seen some claims that the radio delete option saves 6.6 lbs. Not sure if this includes the basic speakers.

Can anyone confirm any of the above?

Does anyone know if the 3130lbs includes the AC and the PCM/radio? oh forget it I'll just go on diet and keep the AC and PCM.
