Consolidated 991RS thread

Roof wart is for SAT radio not Navigation. My '14 GT3 has NAV no SAT so clean roof line. On the non GT3 991 models the wart in placed just above the engine vents and below the rear Window but on the GT3 this was not possible. Judging by the black plastic just under the rear window, I believe the RS will more that likely have the SAT wart on the roof if optioned. SAT isn't a thing in Europe yet, so the pictures we have seen would not have SAT as an option.

If you have to have sat radio, just put that app on your mobile phone and stream it through PCM Bluetooth or hard wire into the USB port in the glovebox. Sat radio and no wart!

All this talk on Bluetooth got me concerned on my RS build.
Do I need to order the $665. Bluetooth handset for telephone module in order to sync my iphone? from what I can figure out the PCM with Nav has the basic Bluetooth function?
Thanks

I can only speak for the USA. If you have the PCM you are good to go for Bluetooth and mobile phone hook-up, you do not need any other options. I have the iPhone5 and it works perfect. All I ordered on my GT3 was the PCM, "sound package plus," and "HD radio." I did also ordered the "voice control" option. It works great and is very easily integrated and responsive for phone and nav (you will not be able to navigate the online media streaming via the voice). I would definitely suggest that option.

This streaming you speak of sounds complicated, I just want to get in my car while in phone and drive.
I don't have any music on my phone or anywhere but XM always does.
Never listen to FM or know any stations.
They just put a painted wart on roof right?

Yes a wart, with a hole in the roof below it. The streaming Bluetooth is a no-brainer. Once you have the app on your phone (Pandora, XM, etc.), you touch the app icon on your phone and then go to the "source" button on the PCM and press AUX/Bluetooth. Done and immediately playing on your system.

here you can hear clearly the difference between the Mezger of RSR and the new engine of GT3-R
let's hope for something derived from 991 rs

Anyone noticed no rear turbo like holes in the GT3 R?
