Is the 266 count 918 customers who are taking an RS, or just 918 sales? If they are 918 & RS buyers they must be included in the 700 cars?
.2 manual...there will be a riot.

PCNA and PAG need to stop playing silly games.

OK my Dealership is a pretty big dealer but certainly not the biggest, got 2 RS allocations both went to 918 owners. No allocations to non-918 customers as of yet. This is way less than I anticipated, not sure what this means just thought I would share the info

Yup. And you know what else this means? Should they come out with a numbered limited edition car (such as the 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 or 997.2 GT2 RS), no one but 918 VIP's will be able to get one.
In fact, with 297 initial 918 buyers in the US, if this was the time of the 997.2 GT2 RS, half of those VIP's would be disappointed because only ~150 allocs went to North America.
I realize the 918 Spyder VIP program was cooked up by marketing a long time ago when they were getting worried they wouldn't be able to sell 918 918's, but I strongly suspect it wasn't very well thought out.

Hopefully a large number of 981 RS cars come back to the market shortly after delivery, but at what cost, certainly not msrp. Upside, and it's a nice one, is that the value of this car for the foreseeable future is well protected by it's low numbers and VIP situation.
