Wider body, LWFW, DEM, Seats, some interior lightening, bigger rear wheels and tires, big rear spoiler, bigger air intake, more HP, Ti center muffler, Front fender tac-on things, clown decals.

4.0 was $50K premium
Limited edition, 200cc, carbon fibre hood and fenders, painted rear wing, bigger wing end plates, canards better looking decals.

I see a lot of 4.0 type additions over the GT3, so I say $20K -$30K over GT3, depending on the initial GT3 production run catastrophe and what they include.
sorry buddy, i dont know what will be on the RS, but i am pretty certain it's $40-50k more.

I agree because they have to throw the whole inventory at it plus 4.0 to make it fasterder with a manual

Let's have some fun and see what Porsche could do with the RS if they were serious about trimming weight. I've rounded some of these numbers but most are in the ballpark:

66lbs - 997-gen 6-speed manual
30lbs - deletion of RWS
25lbs - lightweight battery
40lbs - 1-pc CGT sport buckets
30lbs - CF hood, fenders, & roof
37lbs - A/C Delete
7lbs - Radio delete
9lbs - Plexiglass rear window
5lbs - Titanium center muffler

?? - 4.0 style carbon airbox
?? - lightweight carpet, removal of sound deadening
?? - lighter springs
?? - LWFW

That's 250lbs right there without the items for which I'm missing data. And this is just the easy off-the-shelf stuff. Imagine what they could save if they dumped the Panamera console and gave us a basic Cup interior with toggles and a Motec, AIM, or Cosworth electronic dash unit?

Of course you have to add back some weight for wider wheels and tires as well as the wider rear body.

One can dream….

I agree, but I was suggesting the 50k would be justifiable in terms of Porsches pricing strategies as 0Q991 stated.

And its a 4.0, so you basically described my 997 4.0 but new 991 body style and 4 years warranty. I see no reason it should cost more than $160k with the mass produced GTS engine. SOLD!!!

^^^^^ even funnier its been well documented the average 4.0RS that was delivered was no lighter in delivery trim that the current 991 GT3! The 997 must have been a heavy chassis/body/engine?

Already documented 997 body in white and motor were each approximately 70lbs heavier than 991 BIW and 9A1 motor. So a roughly 140lb head-start out of the gate.

I dunno but mine was specced like above without plastic window and it was 3050 on the track + me + fuel.
Thats 250lbs lighter no?

We could be looking at a sub 3000lb RS

My 3.8's were only about 50lbs heavier. Radio. battery and no CF fenders and frunk lid. Maybe heavier carpet..
All cars with steel rotors BTW.

If you're comparing your 3050 lb RS + fuel with the 991 GT3 then no, the difference isn't 250 lbs. Porsche spec for the GT3 is 3153 lbs with a full 17 gal fuel tank and no options. The optioned car C&D tested weighed in at 3193 lbs with PCCB's. With a full tank of fuel your 4.0 would have been in the same ballpark.

That sounds correct Mike I have two articles one from evo uk and one from
Auto sport.de that record a 4.0rs real world weight fully fuelled
And a 991 gt3 also fully filled at 50lb or less apart. 991 had pccb fitted both articles
