They already announced the GTS will be there - I hope there is more than that.
Oops, I forgot about that! Good point on hoping for more, but I have a sneaky suspicion that stars will align with the Cayman GT4 debut rumors and Porsche May have a "track focused" Geneva.

Won't they make the RS on the same line as the GT3, which is still in production? I think it's wishful thinking it will be in LA. If I were a betting man, March 2015 will be the launch. RS Silly season has arrived.
Can someone please explain why we continue to read that GT3 builds must cease for GT3RS cars to be built? "They are on the same assembly line"...well, exactly...automation easily allows multiple models to be built in sequence on the same line without any interruption at all. I've witnessed it in Germany myself. Confused.

Yep - to me it makes more logistical sense for it to be LA and the GT3 ended in December and RS production to pick straight up. I've heard from a few good sources that it's Geneva, but I still am wishing for an LA surprise...

I don't know of any reason why they couldn't be built at the same time, it's just that they haven't been in the past. Or am I wrong about this?
just out of curiousity... why the telephone module? what does that get you?
also if primarily a track car, not sure I understand why $1100 on sat/hd radio, etc., but that one is certainly more a personal preference thing, maybe enjoy to/from the track, etc... but I am not even sure I understand what telephone module is, or why needed... ? car comes standard with Bluetooth, right?
thanks
2015 GT3 comes with bluetooth. The 999 telephone module option gives you a physical phone in the console I believe.

that's what I was thinking...
certainly wasn't questioning Trakcar build, just trying to clarify... wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something that I didn't need... I think this option turns the car into a phone, essentially... but Bluetooth for handsfree calls using your cell phone is standard..

Mike I believe the 997.1 GT3/GT3RS were built along side each other. Both were available in North America for 2007 and 2008 model year. The 996.2 GT3/GT3RS had a similar overlap I believe (RS cars started deliveries around October 2003 in Europe).

I agree. I saw them both on the assembly line on the same day in Zuffenhausen when I was there in April of 2007. There is no logistical reason why the 991 gt3 and the 991 gt3 RS couldn't be built in sequence at Zuffenhausen today...if they wanted to. As I said since the beginning, this is a red herring!
