First Real World Owners Feedback?

Yes she was "tapping out" as a poster on youtube pointed out. Had her laughing alright! A UK Pistonheads guy reckoned the air brake must have been an expensive option! He wasnt wrong.
Further feedback on white. You dont have to chamois it after washing. After 13 years of midnight blue 993 ownership (you have to get the water off the paint instantly or it leaves marks!) I was very happy to find the white much more forgiving. But I chamoised it anyway!
Here is a picture the airbrake took of me washing the car today!

Thanks so much Macca! Very generous of you to take the time to share your trip with us.
Yes, white is probably the easiest to maintain. I have a 1991 964 C4 that's white, and it still looks amazing. Can't wait for mine to arrive!

you guys have a good communication method. Hand signals are better than screaming and panicked screeching. and a smart man knows not to ignore as the result would have been a more tragic shopping spree :-)

Macca, thanks for the info and vids, and have fun, but be careful out there. High speeds, winding roads, no runoff areas to hard objects, excited driver of new car ... bring the car, you, and your wife home safe and sound.

Thanks guys. I havent posted some of the faster runs incase you all think Im totally nuts!
Although you have many roads in the USA I have not driven (I have only driven roads like old Pacific Highway 1 from LA to San Fran and behind Malibu and the infamous Mulholand Drive) - In NZ we have many roads like Italy so we grow up on shaving cliff edges with no run off. That said it certaibly can end in tears. If you really want to see some nutty motorsport look for Targa Tasmania or Traga NZ and watch some tarmac footage. This is what we will likely use the 991 GT3 for late 2014! Its like watching NZ play rugby against the Spring boks (South Africa) then an Amercian football game. Typical NZ kid (Samoan or Maori decent) will ask - why have they got all those nanny helmets and padding LOL! We are all mad down under mate!

Heres one on the autostradas to 200kmph. First run above 7000 rpm - went to around 8200 then backed off. Only 48 hours after pick up and just nudged the "break in mark" beginning of Italian tune up!
Enjoy the sound!
