"Differences for USA:
• Passenger seat occupancy detection (advanced airbag: USA, Canada and Mexico)"

Advanced airbag? The "simple" airbag in the foldable bucket seat is not sufficient for US?

Riiiight, funny. This is a track car?!
Transoil is lifetime on a 997 GT3, but if you dont change it every 6 or so track days it's dead and baked to the inside. If that PDK hold up with people thinking they can get away with normal maint schedule I will be very, very impressed!

Not to compare but I had issues with my VW GTI DSG, in that regards
So it would not surprise me if they have shorter intervals for the GT3 PDK
Might have to log track miles (like for the CL)

Mike
Easy, every 6 track days or more often.

+1. They should.

Ask a friend, owner or random stranger at a track event, attend a PSDS training, etc. If not, then at least wait for the first reviews from magazines or owners.
Can I borrow yours or one of your friends 991 GT3 for a weekend or 2 or 3 at Sebring? I will pay for track insurance, all consumables and give it an oil and transoil change with a full tank of gas. I only spun once in 10 years and hundreds of track days, but if I ball it up I'll hand you the cash and wait for insurance money. Peter@trakcar.com to work out the details.

For sure, but you would need to pay for shipping to the US too If you are that keen then simply sign up for a PSDS event and get a GT3 loaner. There is your test drive. On a track.

GT3 is not one of the cars in the PSDS curriculum, IIRC.

PSDS is follow the leader at Barber, easy track for cars.
I'll fly in and take it for a week at the Ring. I dont have many laps there so its not as good a test at Sebring and the Ring is easier on the car so I will need it a little longer, say a week or 2. Long laps you know...

I'll throw in a very nice thank you dinner when I bring it back and a couple of thousand for speeding tickets.
No points on you license in Switserland and Germany just pay right?

Will wait for when you hear back from him

A bit too much coincidence that the only countries in the entire world who have advanced airbags are in North America.

As I posted in the other thread where this came up, you make a good point. I listed only the normal maintenance schedule.

Yeah. Plus the clubsport package will be made available all over the world except for... yes, you guessed right, USA.

I'm almost certain the GT2 sport buckets in my 997.2 have passenger occupancy detection.

How would that work for a harness? Or do people track their cars with a constant bing, bing, bing...
