Congrats bud. Good luck staying away from track once you experience and get it dialed in, .2 RS is automotive crack. Rubber art looks best on the bright colors anyways.

Having now properly driven this thing now that it's MY car, I'm going to update my road review and say that this thing is amazing as a road car. Way better than the 991.1 GT3. More mid-rev punch, better sound, and - most importantly - the front end actually turns and holds, unlike the trailbraking arm-twisting needed with the GT3. The handling reminds of the 996 cup car I once drove on track.
I loved the GT3 on track, but never really enjoyed it as a road car. The RS is different. The handling inspires confidence in a way that I didn't get from the GT3, and the RS feels more alive and exciting at sane speeds than the GT3 did. After a spirited drive in the GT3, I would often come home with an uneasy feeling, and not eager to drive it on the road again. With the RS, I felt like I don't want to stop driving it.
So glad I bought this car. I'd rather have this RS than the 992 3RS because the latter is just not practical because of the lack of storage, higher cost, hot air issue, etc. And I'd rather have this 3RS than a 4RS because 911 > Cayman (I have two Caymans, not a Cayman hater). I don't really need to pick this RS over the 992 GT3 because we have one of those coming in a couple months (never drove the 992 GT3, so can't compare). I think this car is worth every penny of the $240k and I can see this being a forever car.

Congratulations! My thoughts exactly, which is why I personally enjoy it over the 991.2 turbo S as a road car. I drive the turbo S now, to keep in perspective how special the RS experience is...

Harshness on the road is not the main issue. On a wavy road which throws the car around, this RS loses composure, and I’m comparing with numerous other Porsches I’ve driven on the same roads.
But even this isn’t the main reason I say it’s not a good road car. I say it because it’s not as much fun on the road as my other Porsches:
- 991.1 GT3 sounds better and has better handling on the road, and overall seems rawer
- 981 GT4 has a more interesting sound track and the engagement of manual
- 991.2 C4S cab because it’s a cab
- 991.2 TTS is more comfortable, more composed, and way more torque
- 992 TTS handles as well or better on the road (with proper alignment and Cup2 and SPASM), and is way faster
- 997.1 C2S because it’s a 997 and manual
- Cayman R feels smaller and lighter and crisper and it’s manual
To me, the 991.2 3RS feels like it was clearly designed as a track car. That doesn’t mean that it’s not tolerable or enjoyable as a road car, but I think lots of other cars are more fun as road cars, and at lower price points. So I shouldn’t say it’s not a good road car, but rather that it’s not as good a choice as a road-only car as many other cars (IMO).

In my stable, the real rival on the road to the 991.2 3RS may be the 992 TTS. That TTS is more like a GT car and the performance is crazy.

I guess this can be my review thread.
Simply put, this car is the best car I've ever driven. It combines just about all of the best elements of cars I've driven into one car, and then takes it up a notch.
I was mislead when I first drove the car because the front brake pads were glazed and the sway bars were set for max understeer. With those issues addressed, everything about this car is great: handling, grip, feeling of lightness, precision, braking, power, shifting, sounds, cockpit ergonomics, aesthetics, storage space. This is all based on driving it on road, slow to very fast, and I expect that the car will be at least as good on track.
The downside of having this car is that it ruins other cars, and I have a feeling I'm going to be selling a bunch of cars. But that will free up some cash and garage space, so maybe it's an upside.
