Same here for about ~10 years, neither the cigarette lighter nor the passenger footwell ever cut out on 997 or 991. Not sure who the OEM for the Charge-o-mat is (says made in Germany) but it’s been fine.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but it relates... I have read that you can have a lithium battery as opposed to the stock one .. . if you do not have Li.. can you switch to an Li ... and if you do are there any issues? I'm in the process of getting a new battery and of course based on this thread, the tender will prevent the loss of codes and such .. so do I make the switch across the board or replace with stock and the associated AGM battery tender or move to Li?

Quick update... I put the car on the CTEK charger for about 24 hours. The charger indicated that the battery was fully charged. Disconnected everything and it fired up immediately! Success!
