I think it depends on where you live. If you live in an area where 'everyone' has a Porsche, Tesla, Range Rover, etc, at most you may get some thumbs up and head turns at the stop light, and maybe people will say nice car at the gas station. I got more attention in my Boxster when I lived in New England 20 years ago than I have in my 997 Cab in Scottsdale over the last 15 years. I now have gotten way more attention in the last week in the GT3 (but I think it is because the color is Acid Green more than the wing), but I suspected that would happen because of the color. I do not drive aggressively in traffic, so I give people no reason to 'hate'.

At the end, get what your heart desires because that is what pleases you. Don't worry about what other people think.

Not much. In a bright color you would probably get more, but to most people its just another Porsche.

contrary to what I expected GT3RS barely got any attention. I had both white and red and both were ignored despite of the loud exhaust on both
on the contrary , I have never driven my M3CS , without at least multiple comments and all are positive

Get a decent amount of attention in Boston with my sapphire blue GT3. Half of it is probably due to the color though.

There hasn’t been a drive where I don’t get a “ nice car” or thumbs up. There are the occasional “how much did you pay?” I want ask them if they’ve ever heard of google but I just kindly tell them my life savings. if they throw out a number I Say I got a deal! Go see so and so at Porsche....

I get a fair amount of rubbernecking from others on my car. Racing Yellow GT3 tends to catch their eyes.

about as much attention as you'd expect. Definitely less than a Ferrari / Mclaren / GTR / Viper / R8.

People recognize the 911 shape and in general don't know the difference between a base carrera and GT2RS. Most people would easily confuse a 997 and 991 if we're being real here.
