He mentions that the PDK is harder to find than the Manual. I realize the word "find" is subjective, but from a production #'s perspective, is the Manual really more prevalent than the PDK for this car? ... or maybe he meant that in relation to the chalk color? ... I was just surprised by that statement. Also a tad surprised that a PDK with 22k miles is now $15k over MSRP (ASKING price). wow

PDK is a a little rarer than the manual for a 991.2 GT3; 959 US PDK vs 1127 US manuals. However, Chalk is one of the most common colors for a PDK GT3 and the GT3 in general for the US.

does anyone have a clue what the sales price actually s on some of these though. I feel like
asking prices are definitely inflated but I am and have been in the market and curious if some of these are selling close to that are much lower. I want one real bad but can’t see myself paying these ASKING prices. It’s crazy.

I'm with ya Hammbone. Last Fall I was entertaining the idea of picking up a 991.2 GT3, and would definitely only take a manual,... but decided that I should wait another year or two (since I am still so in love with driving my 997.2 GT3 Mezger). At that time, I actually thought that prices might actually come down (further for the 991's) given such high production numbers,... but when ya get right down to it, these crazy high prices will probably end up pushing everything up down the road, (even once things settle down with inflation and when money starts moving from equity back over to more traditional investment markets).
But while luxury goods are still in such high demand during these times, I'm now second guessing the wait&see approach. That strategy may end up costing me even more $$$ to get one yrs from now. Oh well.

re: selling prices verses asking prices? ... with such success in the Auction houses lately,... I'm guessing sale prices are still only slightly below asking prices. And when we see dealerships & resellers bumping their prices UP on a weekly basis, and bidding wars happening even on private sales,... yea, its nutz right now.

I think prices will end up softening eventually. But sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. The Ford GT hovered at MSRP for the first 5-7 years of its life. I had an opportunity to pick up one for 125k around 2007 and passed. Was just the wrong time.

Then the market skyrocketed and they are now they are $350+.

End of the day though, and in general, cars are deprecating assets. Life is too short to worry.

If you like the Aqua Blue on your car and if it is a clean example, then I would not trade it for a 991.2 GT3. Getting hard to find clean 997 GT3’s nowadays. There are only 5 Aqua Blue 997.2 GT3’s with PCCB in the US and who knows if they are all clean examples.

997 GT cars feel a lot more mechanical and raw than the newer 991 GT cars do. But this makes 997 GT cars less drivable on a more regular basis. Me personally, I would never not have a 997 GT car in my garage.

This one apparently has had some range 5 over revs, but happened awhile ago so may be ok.
