GT3 prices are not in a bubble.... it's the new reality. People comparing it to the stock market yet when I see the index it longs like a line, with some bumps, going straight up.
Lot's of money out there, low rates, tight supplies will keep prices firm. And, in the long term demand for luxury items globally will keep prices high.

Note to self- Never sell all your cars and get caught sharing your Wifey's car. Even if for 6 weeks it had been painful

Actually- what you are explaining is a Bubble. It may las 12 months or 2 years but eventually it will pop. But the whole car market is short and that is why the Secondary market strong. I've sold my .2 GT3 in Oct and my M3 end of Jan. Used car market great so I took advantage. Not going to last forever.- just like the housing market right now

We'll see.... however, from what is going on many are not willing to sell their vehicles despite prices. We see this in home prices and recreational property. Despite record and absolutely insane prices very few, actually hardly anyone in a good location is interested in selling. Bubble.. maybe but bubbles need to be bursted and I do not see any pin out there.

Sorry, I just had to quote that. If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard someone refer to a bubble of some type as a ‘new paradigm’, only to be proven wrong shortly thereafter, I’d have a lot of nickels.
Anyone buying GT3Ts way over sticker right now is buying tulips.

MSRP for 992 ~20k increase
ADM if they want an early allocation probably at least $10k
Wait approx. 1 year before touring deliveries for most non-VIP's
So, for just 10k more, they can have a car now, where the (for the touring at least) the improvements are negligible it seems, and styling is subjectively worse.....over 12 months of driving, that's what leasing a Touring for $800 a month?
Not saying right or wrong perspective, but with only 3-4 Tourings for sale at the moment, it only takes 3-4 people to do the above math and decide that makes sense for them.
If you want a PDK touring....or want back seats.....or want to spec the PTS du jour...or care (worry) more about resale than enjoying a car long term....and I imagine a lot of people fall into one of those categories....then they should all wait because are all good reasons to hold off...but again, only 3-4 people need to see things differently.....
Tulips feels a bit of stretch....even "bubble"....not sure if there is a technical level at which a price should fall to have proven that a bubble existed, but if 991.2 Tourings fall to say, $140k, we're probably in a new economic environment where I'd suspect 992's will be selling below MSRP immediately, and the bravado here from the value crowd will have them too nervous (or unable) to buy then.

Or...people are just doing their math this way:

Everyone else either wait on a 992 allocation with or with out ADM if you want one. For those who do not get a 992 allocation (or aren't interested in it and prefer the 991.2 or "older" car), then 991.2 touring prices are on par with what you will pay for the 992 (seeming like 185-200K specced out MSRP). The math works if you can find the 991.2 spec that you're interested in...otherwise you will be waiting 1.5-2 years for a flipped 992 and what will you be paying over its MSRP?
Just like Porsche will sell all the 992s whether to repeat customers or newbies who paid ADM, there is a solid tiered market for all of these cars used (and there is a fixed number of them) and they too will all sell, and then sell again...and will likely always be under a certain about of value from the newer gen of car above them...

I'm just saying tight supply will keep prices firm on average, yes some correction but overall more demand than supply... a lot more disposable income with limited production.
I don't consider my car an investment or value I am just sharing my thoughts with you, and like hearing others opinion as well.
Cheers

Something else that has not been discussed regarding the interest in the 991.2 Touring is that it is about as close to a 991 R that you can get without getting an R. The Touring will never have the "exclusivity" of the R because it does not have a number plate on it. Nor will the Touring have the single mass flywheel but it does have a demonstrably better engine than the R. Stylistically, the R and the Touring are like brothers, both on the interior and exterior. The 992 is a departure, stylistically, inside and out, from the 991.2. Bigger, busier rear end, fish mouth front with large air vents in the hood, wider rear spoiler, etc. For those Porsche enthusiasts looking for an "under the radar" GT driving experience with a manual gearbox (and, as in the R - no back seats!), then the 991.2 Touring is a home run. And unlike the 992 Touring, cars are available now, not 6-12 months from now.

We may be coming to that point to sell the 3RS. I wanted to hear from the experts here on RL before listing it on the open market. I have a Lizard Green 2019 GT3RS, FAL, Yellow Seat Belts to match the PCCB, Leather interior, BOSE stereo, etc. to the tune of 218K MSRP. I added full PPF, Clearplex Windshield Film, Track Spec seat brackets on both the drivers and passengers seat, SOUL valved side muffler delete, Lizard Green RS valve stem caps, Lizard Green stitching PORSCHE floor mats (I also have the original mats as well). I have the Weissach RS black car cover, the small and large lizard green diecast models from PORSCHE, Lizard Green PORSCHE tire gauge gift from Porsche and some other 2019 RS specific memorabilia including original hardcover booklets from Porsche. I went all in, lol! I'm hoping to sell everything together. The car has just over 3300 miles on it. I just did the 2 year service with spark plug change in December. What are you guys thoughts on pricing? I appreciate the help with this.
