I took my 911R out to Angeles Crest today and it was nothing short of perfect. Revving it to redline and enjoying the long sweeping turns was sublime. Every 911 is terrific but each for a different use/climate/driving style. Find the one you like and just enjoy! I know I have!

Narrow body, PTS (green)/LTS (ascot)/wood trim/lots of leather all at reasonable non-CXX prices. 4 way sport buckets (heated and cooled). I’d miss the extra HP and 9k redline (which I rarely use) and id really miss the LWBs and carplay, but that is a spec which I think would bring a lot of long term enjoyment.
FYI, all Targas are all wheel drive and hence they all are wide bodies.

You're describing a 50th and GTS w/a roof. I'm fortunate to have both the 50th and GT3T. The 991.1 w/PowerKit on a longish trip is more comfortable, less tiring on the ears, and it has lug nuts (if tire repair is needed). On the other hand, GT3T is more fun to drive for everything but long distance "tours."

They are. I saw a targa, and it got me thinking a C2S cab w/powerkit as I noted would be special. C2S over GTS because I like the narrow body and options I would want were not available on GTS.
