I like WP, but it looks too much like a german aftermarket tuner modified the car. Porsches have a very nice understated sportiness, they are classy. The blacked out hood for some reason is screaming too much attention.

I went through the same process before deciding on a .1RS. This was prior to this economic situation so that played no part at all. Price is always something to manage but that too didn't override my decision. First thing I did was figure out what color I wanted, how it would be optioned and if buying pre-owned the lowest possible mileage spec that would almost be as if I had bought it new. And of course it is not hard to find a low mileage RS. Obviously, if someone is looking for chalk, miami blue, guards red, etc. then the only option is the .2RS. For me, I was lucky my first choice was available on the .1. The craftsmanship and distinguishing characteristics of the .1RS is all there. The performance is there, the sound is there, it is missing nothing IMHO. As good as the .2RS is, and it is well documented and praised, for me there would be no added benefit to choose it other than if the color I wanted wasn't available on the .1.

$50k is a lot of money in my book. Whether it’s “worth it” is very very subjective. You have to drive both and see both in person.
.2 is faster. More down force. Motorsport engine. 9000 rpm red line. Naca ducts. Rose jointed Cup suspension making ride noticeably firmer and more responsive turn in. Noticeably faster PDK. Different styling cues.
.1 is still a great great car in every way but a step behind w/o question.
Don’t rely on what others say in spending your $. Go see and drive both. Maybe $ difference will be less in person talking turkey. It’s your $. It has to be worth it to you.
I love my .2 and glad I got it. Had a .1
Whats not to love? just look at it.
Or you could always buy a C8 and save even more. 😏

I owned both and I think the .1 RS for weekend drives is the better car The .2 is fairly stiff and after an hr or so of driving , to me became uncomfortable .. both had bucket seats
the engine on the .2 is certainly better , and certainly handling and PDKS is more crisp, but these are small differences
today I will buy the .1 over the .2

WP is also purely subjective. I like non WP better. If the U.S. cars came with the Ti Roll bar I would have ticked the box. Without it it just wasn’t worth it to me and merely a styling exercise when I liked the non WP just as much and actually more in GR.
In fact there were less non WP cars produced.
