Default Help me evaluate my 1st GT3 deal, CPO '15 in Monterey

I am looking to get into my first Porsche.

https://nationalpreownedporsche.com/...allic+37362453

I will be trading in my '15 M3 which I have since late '14 with 22k on the clock now. While I enjoy M3 for what it is tremendously, I think I am ready to move into try something else and possibly get my dream car. I wanted to get '18 GTS but since this CPO '15 is well within the budget, I think it might be the one.

Any suggestions or comments will be much appreciated.

Congratulations on the hunt... what are your must haves - color, brakes, seats, condition, etc. These car can come lightly or heavily optioned.

must have
- steel brake, I do track day so no PCCB
- color, anything but yellow.

I like it light. My M3 is Yas Marina Blue, 6 speed, and Carbon Fiber roof.

Thank you,

Have you seen the White CPO 2016 GT3 for sale on here? I have no affiliation with the seller, just know it appears to be a great deal and has less than half the mileage of this blue one with very similar specs. Says he's motivated to sell. Check it out.

Tempting. I initially chose GTS purely on comforts, price-point, and more selections. Though, GT3 will allow me to venture back to NA land which I missed dearly.

Other way; if you don’t track much get PCCB... will last lifetime of the car and no brake dust. Lighter, better. You may me thank me later.
Good luck with search. .1 is a great value today.

Seems like a "high miler", but with CPO may not matter to you.....

Check out the Girodisc (no affiliation) swap kit for PCCB, not too expensive and really great brakes (you can shelf the PCCB) and no risk of expensive PCCB damage...

I did the swap on my RS and am delighted....

agree get the GTS - coming from the M3 you won't be disappointed. Learn the car, enjoy the creature comforts while you are at it.

LOL @ the people suggesting a .2 GTS over a .1 GT3... Sometimes the bias against .1's on here is laughable. Yeah, let me get a diluted turbo-charged car because it has CarPlay and a backup camera over a 9k N/A screamer. Yeah okay.

OP, from a fellow M guy to another - this deal looks solid, I wouldn't look back.

Especially if you're tracking it - no need to overpay for buckets and PCCB since this isn't a C&C mobile
1. Get Girodiscs or the AP kit
2. Throw some recaros and a rollbar
3. Enjoy nearly 5 years left on that engine warranty and beat the snot out of it

I think this car is over priced
MSRP is 143 k so it is a basic spec
in todays market probably 100 k should be the max

GTS will be newer alright. Though, 911 will be mostly spirit and track day car.

Many thanks though.

About 2-3 years ago I bought a cpo 15 gts for 106k. Sold back to dealer for 89k and they sold for sub 95k. Traded it in for my touring. Feels like a 15gts should be in the high 70s low 80s?

I’ve owned .1 gts and a touring and now I’m looking for a pdk gt3 just because houston traffic got old with a manual.

the gts had comforts but you are buying a 911 not a gd lexus. The gt3 is loud, stiff, screams at high rpms and looks way better than a gts.

if you buy a gts every time you see a gt3 you will say man I should have bought a gt3 lol

test drive them both before you buy if possible.
