INTRODUCING the RENNtorq Center Lock Removal Tool for 991/997 applications

Assuming 4 to 1 torque multiplier, using 21.5" long torque wrench to torque to 111 foot pounds requires pulling 62 lbs. (250 ft.lb. torque wrench length minus 2" to center of hand)
Please correct me if I miscalculated.
At 65 years old this is significant and may save pain and doctor's bills.

The major benefits are:
- Major reduction input force required (appreciated by most people whether you are 35 or 75 years old)
- Much easier/safer tool to handle
- No need to have the car running or have someone holding the wheel/pushing the brake
- Quicker in use, particularly if the user is following the Porsche torquing sequence

Is the following tool still needed with RennTorq tool? Something about getting the splines to engage??
Sorry, new to CL and trying to figure out what I all need. And, yes, I'd be interested in RennTorq tool if I can still get in under group buy pricing...

The part on Amazon is only an improved version of the little tool that comes with the car to pop off the dust covers (that say "GT3") - its opposite side can be used to jiggle free and pop out the locking mechanism too, but the Amazon version is said to be more effective.

I love the design. I use a standard 3:1 torque multiplier for CL removal, and my big torque wrench for install, simply because the long breaker bar is a PIA to carry around and my 2' harbor freight one does the trick. It's not perfect, but works for me, and takes considerable less effort to break wheels loose now.
Good luck with the new product!

I recently bought one of those - it's simply designed to jiggle the locking mechanism free and pop out flush. It is independent from the method used to torque the large nut. The 2 tools could be used together.
