Aurum Gold Rims - Prismatic Powder Color?

Looks great. I am torn. I have the gold wheels (see avatar), but just ordered some black FI-R's. Maybe it would be different with white or chalk, but for some reason I just think gold clashes a little with silver. I still like the gold a lot, but think I will like black better.
Either way, I am keeping the stock wheels, so I will have both that I can switch back and forth.

As for your car,.... I personally think silver and gold are gorgeous combination.. but taste is such a personal thing.
If u are keeping the gold intact.. then there is nothing to worry about...

Both of those look great. I also wish I had gotten the exposed carbon hood. I may have to look for one to swap!

I just had a set of my Turbo wheels done at NV Coating here in Northern Virginia (they did an amazing job). I went with the Prismatic Powder's Satin Poly Gold with the Vision Clear top coat. I love the color but I think the clear coat makes it a bit too shinny so I may do my next set of Turbo wheels with just the Satin Poly Gold and no clear top coat. Here are some pictures of the wheels done and mounted with a clear coat.

Prismatic Powders codes are:
Satin Poly Gold: : PMB-6487
Clear Vision: PPS-2974
I am going with just the base Satin Poly Gold and no clear coat on my next set. If you like bright wheels (see my pics above) then go with the Vision Clear top coat if not skip it and save the $150 or so cost.

Never thought I'd like gold-colored wheels--ever! Thanks to all the experimenters on this thread as you may have converted one more poor soul
Any additional examples outside the ones already mentioned paired with Guards Red? Maybe even a Guards Red Cayman if I can have my cake and eat it too?
Will keep Googling... and Googling... and Googling.

Just wanted to thank everyone that participated in this thread because I too took the leap to add some satin poly gold love to my winter wheel setup. Also a big thank you to Adrian at @GlasWerksDMV for getting the wheels painted and getting an exact match on the center caps!

Prismatic has quite a few different grades of clear coat from high gloss down to flat. Perhaps a satin clear coat might be better if you don't like gloss. Moreover, a clear coat will give an extra layer of protection.
