I understood that a top coat is preferred - but there is a wide spectrum of finishes for the clear. You can dial up the satin even more with the clear. If I had my way - mine would be much more glossy than they came out, but you can only go so far when the gold base is satin.

I had looked at powder coating for white gold and while there was a color which was close, powder has sort of a dull/not bright finish which I can't get over. So I ended having wheels painted in Porsche white gold 539, and they looked really nice, very bright.: may be a little more fragile than powder, but the end-result finish is better IMO

Looks incredible. I just bought a set of factory Aurum wheels for my 2016 Viper Green GT3RS and will have them installed this week. I cannot wait. Great job. Really pops on your car.

The color is Prismatic Powder - Poly Satin Gold - PMB-6487
Then a second application (after a partial bake/cure - I am assuming this) Prismatic Powder - Clear Vision - PPS-2974
I assume it then got a final bake/cure.

Dropped off at 8:30A and picked it up at 4P the same day.

I know they said prep on the centerlocks was the key. The place I went had done hundreds of sets of CL wheels - they are one of the go-to places in Miami...where we have a few vehicles with “custom” wheels.
Looks absolutely fantastic. What shop in Miami? Thanks

Both shops I've talked to here in L.A. have told me lead time is 7-10 days. Probably because they aren't doing the actual work. Need to find a shop with quicker turn around time...

It did take (3) days to get the powder in and then dropped it off for same day service. I understood most shops only carry a few standard colors and any "customer picked" colors are special order. Go to Prismatics webpage - they have an applicator locator. There appears to be tons in LA. Hope this helps.

Looks really good.

I have flirted with doing something close to the Satin White Gold but the Satin Aluminum in my .2 just looks too good to change. Maybe one day when I get bored will change

I wanted to switch up my original gloss black rims. (Porsche charged heavily for them) I bought a platinum silver set here on RL with the idea that if I loved them, I'd run them for a while. Didn't love them - made them seem too bright on my car. Had to have gold - been wanting to do this ever since I saw my first Aurum set on the '18/19 .2-3RS.

If Aurum was a option when I ordered my car, I would have added the option over the satin black. Makes a huge difference for a color like Gray Black, to have that gold wheel instead of the subdued feel of the satin black.
