I'd just wait till the end of the season to get it fixed.......unless your season never ends. As for McLaren I think you still have to take them to the dealership pre and post track weekends in order to keep the warranty so plenty of dealership visits with them

I had 10 track days on the car when the window failed. PCNA has the replacement gorilla windows in Atlanta and my dealer is only 8 miles from my home, so not to big a hassle.

It was a great day until the window broke. I counted 15 GT3's and 5 RS's in the group. Looked like a PCA event.

used to crack my 997 gt3 windshield at track days but had glass coverage w geico so they would replace without deductible or rate increase. never had that happen in any other car including convertibles on track.

Was this under the Gran Turismo event in september 2018 - my rear window cracked on my 991.2 GT3 RS - dealer changed it at no cost.

Copy that. Between the LMP, Ferrari Challenge cars, and Cup cars, I was constantly being passed like I was standing still. Those guys were turning 2:10-2:14 all day long.

Based on what the bumps did to you, I might not take my .2 RS to Sebring next month... Would hate to lose a day or more due to a fractured rear window. Will save the .2 RS for Road Atl in May.

Yea, it sounds like Porsche AG has come around and decided to fix this problem the right way......glad to hear they solved the problem I had been paranoid that mine wouldn't survive the trip back over!

Will Porsche ever issue a bulletin to actually fix the problem? Or keep saying its under warranty? They probably tested this glass for about 10 minutes on the track max

Default Replacing rear window

Had the rear glass crack on my RS during the California Festival of Speed. Car is at dealer getting it replaced. Only problem, the urethane seal needs to be cut from the INSIDE. Very tough to do with a half cage. I’m hoping the glass guy can pull it off without cage removal😣. Might do what Joe is considering, replace with normal glass.

Is the gorilla glass in the regular GT3 too or just the RS for weight reasons?

Thats broken as f$&k. Hopefully they dont give u a hard time because of the roll cage install and say someone damaged it. Good luck and I hope it works out for the best.
