Default Passenger fuse box - getting constant power (even when car ignition is off)

I am trying to hardware a dashcam, and need a fuse that supplies constant power (independent of whether the car ignition has been recently on).
Some fuses supply power for 30 min after the ignition is off, but I am looking for a fuse that provides power without a timeline.
Which fuse should I use?

Couple of options that don't work
D9 - Passenger footwell electric socket
D10 - Center console electric socket,
Cigarette lighter

This is for a 991.2

I don't know if this is the same issue, but my late GT4 would not permit battery charging through the outlets for more than about 1/2 hour. There was a service bulletin that changed code to allow this.

Interesting to know if you can access a fuse with constant charge even with ignition off.

Can you just hardwire to the battery?

If hooking direct to battery you should get one of these to prevent battery completely discharging.

https://www.blackvue.com/power-magic-pro/

Car went into power save mode (shutdown all 12V) after 3weeks vacation with just the blackvue plugged into the outlet.

I plan on installing this to keep it running past 30 min on normal days

I'm running a power magic pro with by BlackVue dash cam. I use the 6 hours option to shut power down. I will never park 6 hours so no need to have dash cam powered longer. The 12V power cut off option is not ideal. Your car battery is going to "deep cycle" numerous times, very bad for the battery. Use the hours options instead of the voltage cut off options.

The question I have is -- which fuses in the passenger-side fusebox provide long time (few hours at least) of power.
P.S. I have the Power Magic Pro to cut-off power after set number of hours or if battery reaches below a certain voltage.

You may need to test with a volt meter. Looking at the manual there doesn't look like much that would stay on, Row B fuse 10 is the door proximty sensor, but GT3's don't have one...

On the driver side there's more possibilities. row C fuse 9 and some others.

But I agree with Jimmy-D, just run a direct feed from the battery (or positive feed bar under the hood).

Hmm it’s been over 30min and I’m still seeing voltage on the cigarette lighter. Do you have to leave the door closed for that to turn off?

Edit: I think it may depend on battery voltage. It's been way over an hour and 12V sockets are still on. I did have the battery on the tender so it's like 12.7 V.

Also wanted to cf the best thread I've found on the fuse box.

My own experience with a volt meter corroborates the above thread regarding the fuse rows in the passenger side box.

basically Row C is always on - there are several open slots with pins ready for you to plug in an ATC fuse tap.

Most of row D (except D9-D10 for the 12V sockets) are ACC+ switched. Only D9-D10 have a delay which seems to be based on time and voltage because with battery tender on it never went off. Again there are several open slots with pins to accept a fuse tap.

also FYI for dash cam install, I found that my 2019 3RS has the A-pillar trim attached with the metal stub as described here
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1048...r-removal.html

I couldn’t figure out how to get it off so I just stuffed the cable through the gap and behind the airbag and fished it out on the other end with a hooked pick.

PS regarding the magic power pro, I had to strip off all the connectors and solder directly to the fuse tap wires and a new ring terminal connector because the thin stranded wires of the PMP harness don’t crimp well and the built in ground terminal is laughably tiny. And while I was in there I twisted the wire pair to the 12V socket because it is otherwise an intractable mess.
