Describe, in as much detail as you can, the difference in driving the RS and the 488?

Sound?
Handling?
Driver/Car connection?
Enjoyment levels?
Better DD?
Better Track car?
Emotion?
Comfort on poor roads?
Anything else not mentioned, but a consideration?

The 488 is extremely comfortable, in fact it rides better than my Golf GTi. I never tracked the car however the power was truly astounding. I nearly crashed the thing when it stepped out on me at about 3000RPM in third gear while in race mode. It is an amazing car all around. The only thing I didn't like was the attention the car got.

Yippie: You are quite the watch collector. Wow. Love the PP's!. Beautiful. I hope to buy one when I grow up.
I just own the proletariat collection of Rolex's (including Gold Presidents), a Ulysse Nardin, Chopard, Mille Miglia, Omega Sea Master, Breitlings.

Still working for the PP.

Thank you kind sir!

I used to have a bunch more brands - sold everything. All my Aps, Rolexes, etc. I have one IWC that my father gave me as a gift and the rest are Patek. Have a 5968 coming this winter that Im looking forward to and then the next one is likely a 5270 (or its replacement) for my 50th in a few years. I think after that Im done.

(crap! am I really turning 50 in a few years??!!!!)

Also went from 991 GT3 to 488 GTB. The 488 tops my owned cars list, too. That torque.

My favorite like on my new 488 is it has no CL's! Went out and torqued the wheels for its first track day tomorrow. Pretty simple. I cannot believe Porsche does not offer a delete on the CL's. Naturally they could charge same price for the delete.

I have a 488 as well as a 16 and 11 RS. Took a local high school enthusiast for a ride in the 488. He has a new mustang (not a slow car!) and said to me, I don't even feel like driving anymore until I can afford a Ferrari.

I said dont feel bad, i feel the same way until I remember I own the Ferrari! It just makes the Porsches seem so pedestrian.

Yet when you look at lap times the .2 GT3RS makes the 488 look pedestrian and the .2 GT3 matches it. That’s NA 6s vs. TT V8.

Theres life beyond striaght away acceleration torque.

That's due in no small part to the fact that just about all Porsche GT cars are over-tired (in terms of width).

Sum of all the parts gets the results no doubt.

488 with cup2 tyres will be outrunning the GT3 or GT3RS...just because Ferrari dun play the Nürburgring track times....just like the 675LT be quicker too
GT3/RS will be close though...and can do laps and laps with consistency...

Well, with stock tires (no CL's ) I had an incredible day on the track. Started out in Sport mode first time. Then switched to Race mode. It was still inhibited fuel flow in one spot. People thought I was manually shifting-nope. Love the Auto assisting me around the track.

Straight line, 488 is gone. Same with the 458 Speciale vs 991.1 GT3. But on a track this photo speaks volumes.
