the ones with the semi-new dodge chargers which the department bought on lease and now they went over their mileage limits and they have massive penalties to pay back upon lease return? yea.. those Doraville cops are the worst. one of the depts who spent a ton of money on military spec police gear.. for a semi-wealthy suburban county... and now is trying every way possible to fine people to get out of debt.

Thought Austin was beautiful and was sure to be a booming city - went back to my family business if I would have stayed in Austin and chosen the Texas life man would my world be different.
Used to drive my 280zx to the lake who would have thought 12+ - WOW!

Hey now!! I'm actually south of Cleveland in the Akron Canton area, but still....Hey now! LOL. Yup, have to agree on the bad roads and potholes in Cleveland. Not bad at all, though, where I'm at. Plus, Pittsburgh International Racetrack is just a short drive, as is the Mid-Ohio Racetrack. Grey skies, need for Vit D supplements, schizophrenic weather.....yup, all true. I wouldn't move to Chicago, though. It would be a lateral move. Maybe somewhere close to VIR, my second favorite track, would be nice.

All for nothing- Chicago and it's Suburbs is one of the best places to live in the US. I've lived most of my life right outside NYC and lived in Buckhead, ATL for 7 years in the 90s(was fun- 3 women for every 1 male back then)
The only issue w/ Chicago is the freakin 6 months of Winter. No better place to be June thru Oct.
Now- there are far better places for enjoying a sports car- no doubt

what happened to atlanta in the 90s to skew the female/male ratio to 3-1?
never heard of such a thing.

We used to say 8-1 in the 70s and 80s and used to say if you could get blanked in Atlanta you were blank.
i think it still is 8-1 versus 3-1 but I am now “retired” and married...

Unfortunately, politics can't be ignored. The cost of living is ridiculous and the taxes are never ending. How does a state with such a large economy have bad schools, bad roads, and crime everywhere because there is 'no money'?
The traffic is so bad that you have no desire to go anywhere and end up holed in.
The state is going to hell in a handbasket at an ever accelerating rate. I'm stuck here. Otherwise I would head for Texas.
I lived in Michigan for the first 30 years of my life. I hated the cold and the weather, but I'll take poor weather over entitled/rude people and astronomical cost of living.

In Michigan most of my life, I couldn't imagine it's worse in CA
