I went to Austin for school - M Dell was my year he asked for 20k one guy still has it believe it's worth around 6m. Back then had the money but chose unwisely to not invest.

Thought Austin was beautiful and was sure to be a booming city - went back to my family business if I would have stayed in Austin and chosen the Texas life man would my world be different.

Used to drive my 280zx to the lake who would have thought 12+ - WOW!

I recommend Cleveland, Ohio. All the potholes, grey skies, and Browns Football will make you appreciate Chicago.

We had two football teams NBA team and now we have a Gov who took naked pics of his tied up hair dresser - Cleveland has never looked so good from St Louie.

Hey now!! I'm actually south of Cleveland in the Akron Canton area, but still....Hey now! LOL. Yup, have to agree on the bad roads and potholes in Cleveland. Not bad at all, though, where I'm at. Plus, Pittsburgh International Racetrack is just a short drive, as is the Mid-Ohio Racetrack. Grey skies, need for Vit D supplements, schizophrenic weather.....yup, all true. I wouldn't move to Chicago, though. It would be a lateral move. Maybe somewhere close to VIR, my second favorite track, would be nice.

Didn't someone refer to Cleveland as the armpit of America?

Ok.. while neither Chicago and Cleveland are not exactly the California coast.. to say that Cleveland is a "lateral move" which Chicago is just a bit... just a bit.. delusional. Cleveland is truly an armpit.. I'll compare it rural Mississippi during peak summer as a black man during slavery from an undesirability rating.. possibly worse.

All for nothing- Chicago and it's Suburbs is one of the best places to live in the US. I've lived most of my life right outside NYC and lived in Buckhead, ATL for 7 years in the 90s(was fun- 3 women for every 1 male back then)

The only issue w/ Chicago is the freakin 6 months of Winter. No better place to be June thru Oct.

Now- there are far better places for enjoying a sports car- no doubt

chicago is a great town, (other than winter)

what happened to atlanta in the 90s to skew the female/male ratio to 3-1?

never heard of such a thing.

Nah. The armpit of America is Newark, New Jersey, with all those factories along the highway. I used to live in Jersey, in Caldwell.

Default Ratio...

We used to say 8-1 in the 70s and 80s and used to say if you could get blanked in Atlanta you were blank.

i think it still is 8-1 versus 3-1 but I am now “retired” and married...

The traffic is so bad that you have no desire to go anywhere and end up holed in.
The state is going to hell in a handbasket at an ever accelerating rate. I'm stuck here. Otherwise I would head for Texas.

I lived in Michigan for the first 30 years of my life. I hated the cold and the weather, but I'll take poor weather over entitled/rude people and astronomical cost of living.

In Michigan most of my life, I couldn't imagine it's worse in CA
