You got to love the comparison of an overpriced $18,000 option to a overpriced $13,000 option, and somehow still managing to find the compelling value proposition in it all. PAG knows its customers way too well.

So I assume no PTS + Weissach like GT2 RS?

Is anyone doing the bronze wheels? I think I'm going to go Black exterior with the WP, but I don't know if the satin black or the satin bronze wheels look better.

Hard choice for me either way since I will most likely not get an allocation.

But for me WP > PTS. Not sure if mag wheels are worth it tho.

PTS > WP

If PTS was available= PCCB+PTS+WP+Mags+Leather+FAL would be $60k in options...

Here's a good one. Was in at dealer configuring .2 RS, and in the dealer's system there were two additional options. Expedited production = $10k and all that does is get you through factory quickly then you still sit at the port for 2 weeks

OR for $25k you can have expedited production and have your car air lifted to your location. Now, that's a deal!

Airlift is always an option. Due to an error on my rather odd Euro Delivery with my GT3 in October, Porsche ended up airlifting my car to USA-- added $16k to sticker price!

I would be interested in part of the Weissach package i.e.:

Exterior
  • Exposed carbon fiber front lid
  • Exposed carbon fiber roof instead of standard magnesium roof saves approximately 1.1 lb (0.5 kg)
  • Exposed carbon fiber rear wing with large ‘PORSCHE’ logo
  • Exposed carbon fiber mirror housings
I wonder if that could be ordered in a limited fashion.

I'm really fascinated by the Titanium rollcage, it's bad enough we don't get the clubsport package here in the states but now with this titanium version very jealous of my european friends.

Value is relative and subjective.... I do have a question on the rollcage. How is that BMW was able to import a cage installed within their M4 GTS but Porsche hasn't figured this out. It really is a same. If it is all about crash testing...that seems very short-sided of Porsche given the enthusiasm to track these GT cars in the US.

It's a really good question, not sure what they had to do with the M4 GTS, it may have something to do with the limited production numbers they only produced 900 and I have no idea how many imported to the US. I never really minded as good facsimiles have been around. Now with the titanium I feel the Euro clubsport with the Weissach pack is actually a steal considering all the individual costs involved. Perhaps Akrapovic will make something for an exobitant price
