Radio delete was 6.6lbs in 997 RS. Call it 7-8lbs in 991 if we’re being generous. The real juice is in A/C delete, which cuts close to 40lbs from the right place, and of course the Mg wheels.

Kind of odd that they taped over the steering wheel emblem in that video. That video must horrify the bubble-wrapper and tire-cracker crowd 😂

Funny to see a non WP GT3 RS with the Ti roll cage.

A preproduction car, obviously.

Is it possible that the wires are the same for all RS/GT3 models regardless of the equipment?

WP is 30K here in Oz just not worth the money for the weight savings and I don’t like the full carbon look over the bonnet and roof looks much better on the GT2 RS than the 3

I am not sure. I have a 991.1 GT3RS and a 991.2 GT3. They may be similar but will have to check behind the center console which can be a pain due to limited space.

The weight of the wiring harness if they are even different should be miniscule in terms of weight difference. I would be more concerned about the radio unit in itself being more significant in weight than the wiring harness.

There is some discussion about this on this thread:

I want to see who pays $18,000 to lose 13.4 lbs (WP) and another $3,490 to add 15+ lbs. (Front Axle Lift). While FAL weight isn’t in the worst spot...

Does this community believe that those ordering the WP are really doing so for weight reduction?? My viewpoint is they are not.

I think besides the weight reduction, the aesthetics of it having exposed carbon fiber frunk and roof, for better looks which are not available on the GT2RS is another reason people are getting the WP.

I'm only concerned about resale value - weight and looks are irrelevant. Maybe time to start a future value of .2 3 RS thread.....

I am looking at it this way. WP is 38% more than PTS assuming pricing of PTS on RS holds true to GT3. For 28% more, you do get quite a lot more (exposed carbon on almost half the car, an instantly recognizable .2 GT3 RS for those in the know, carbon steering wheel surround, and a plaque (joking on this one). So yes I will select WP and not PTS assuming the allocation comes.
