Porsche “upgraded” the GT3RS to panel van finish in the back to save a pound or two.

My 991.2 GT2 RS does. My 991.1 GT3 RS does. But my 991.2 GT3 RS has no embroidery in the rear center tunnel at all. In fact, it looks like the 997.x RS rear center tunnel -- simply carpet.

That is what I remember seeing, for the .2 3RS, no embroidery. Less Weight!

Plus cheaper to replace that rear lower panel if you ever remove a roll bar. That rear section carpet is ~$500 versus the embroidered version which is over $2K.

They are definitely cranking out the GT cars right now for NA. When I was tracking the 991.1RS's the most I saw in a month was around 160 cars. July, Sept, and Oct have all been well over 200 each. Likely close to 750 right now. Granted they won't be building the .2 for 17 months but still they are working hard.
