Keep in mind that this price is in the Netherlands which is one of the most expensive countries in Europe for cars. Their taxes are extremely high. My RS was 100,000 euro less and I live 60kms from the Dutch border.

Austria and NL have the highest taxes on cars within EU.

net price + 32% NoVA (in AUT) + 20% VAT
tax on tax. this is against the EU law - but still ok as long it punish petrol heads

against an average of 2,5% sales tax in US = heaven

I wasn’t aware Porsche allowed you to option the calipers in the same color as the exterior.

AFAIK, they don't. Was probably done after market.

Because everyone knows that green is the best color, and the people who don't get green are insecure losers because they don't have the best color, which is green. Green, green, green.

As a rule, they don't allow consumers to select caliper colors. The few exceptions to that rule are typically for prominent people whose names you would recognize.

Denmark (and Norway, though not EU) have 180% registration tax and 25% VAT. Now that is really cruel.

Avg sales tax in the US is about 6-8%, and annual registration taxes from $0-4000 for an RS. Still kiddie play compared to those EU examples, Singapore, Australia, etc.
