Less wind buffeting is a nice welcome surprise, currently even with the wings on the A Pillar triangle we still get head wobble at 200+ speeds so maybe if we add those it’s fine on the .2RS.
In another thread there is a theory that it's related to the intake arrangement on the Touring.

Has anyone looked through PET to see if they included the Carerra sound symposer on the Touring?

Chris. after reading your review of the RS, if I'm not mistaken I am getting the impression you're not seeing a significant difference in performance between the .2GT3 and the .2RS. Correct?

At this point, they are better off not offering the options than giving away free hoods, wheels, etc... Their bean counters are probably going crazy.
Oh please, don't make excuses for them. The people who forecast demand and configuration have reams of data and a long order history plus algorithmic analysis at their disposal.

In terms of horsepower and straight line speed, that is correct.

May be an unfair question but I'll ask it since your in the unique position of being able to answer it. Is the RS with a $40,000 difference in price over the GT3 and Touring worth it?

If pressed to provide an answer right now, I would say that the regular GT3 is so good that the price of the RS is not wholly justified....but let me answer this question again after I have had more time with the car back-to-back with the other two.

But even with more time, I know one point of view that will not change is that the difference in HP is hardly noticeable. If you are buying an RS for largely this factor, don't bother.

Chris, thanks for the honest answer. From the outset that has been my concern. I believe the RS is a better track car but street car not so sure. I guess the reason for my purchase of the RS is I really like the aggressive look of the car. Is it worth $40,000 more? I doubt it. But as I tell my wife, I keep asking myself how much money do I want to have when I die especially if she dies before me. Just enough to get cremated.

I really think the GT3 is a lot of car for the street....I never drove my RS on the street it was just too much..(I mean besides to and from the track)

though if you do get one and its just for the street I would get a .1 RS for the money its a great deal.

Excellent advice.:thumb:
However, I play to track the RS provided I can find a decent venue for it. I am a mediocre driver and need to make sure I don't participate above my talent level.

Thanks for sharing your impressions !

How does "corner exit" compare to GT3.2 ? You mentioned its twitcher, where ? Entry, exit, mid-corner ? Low-speed, high-speed turns ?

Car looks awesome !!!

LOL, my dealer "gave" me the aluminium gas cap [I wouldn't have ordered it either] and I have to agree, it always makes me smile when I fill the tank

one of the worst volkswagen practice is selling (cheating) on audi tt or a5 rs with fake alu chrome parts
is just plastic pretending are chrome or aluminium

a 200k car should have (as standard) a real aluminium cap ,

not a piece of plastic painted which looks like an aluminium cap

remember to me Mc Donalds discounted happy meal cheap gifts for childrens

Any more info on this with respect to wp? What exactly does this mean for orders that have not been finalized?

It means if anyone’s allocation isn’t V200 as of two days ago you can no longer spec Weissach. It’s on stop sale. No end date either for the stop sale
