Default 27 2018's listed on Autotrader

Maybe this has already been discussed, if so, I apologize in advance.

I jumped on Autotrader today to check .1 GT3's, as I'm in the process of searching for "my" spec. I was suprised to see a total of 27 .2's listed by dealers.

I guess I was surprised because the dealers I've spoken with (one in AZ just a couple weeks ago) almost laughed when I asked if any .2's would be available. I figured they were all spoken for by Porsche buyers. So my assumption is that PAG only sold so many to customers and the remainder are given to the dealers to sell to the highest bidder (some of the listings are higher than RS prices). If that's the case, I'm not sure how to feel about it...... but it reinforces my mantra that "dealers are are not your friend, they are there to sell cars and make you buy into the idea that they are your friend and actually give a sh-t."

Oh well..... kinda hope I'm wrong

I'll save everyone the trouble...most of those ads are sold cars that are automatically scraped up to AT from the dealers systems. They are not available cars. If you see an actual picture of the car with some unique text in the ad, then it's a real car for sale.

Yeah I get these cars get automatically put in the Porsche dealer system but then listing them in Autotrader doesn’t make sense unless all cars from dealers get automatically listed in AT. Trying to find an ADM fish maybe.

What does shock me is that there are 275 Ferrari 458's for sale on AT right now! 275!

These are not just ‘automatically’ published to autotrader... checking the listed ‘msrp’ on autotrader against The actual MSRP on the build sheets (by cross referencing the VIN) indicates that plenty of dealers have allocations (commission number is 0) that they are ADM’ing instead of offering builds to customers.

Surprise, surprise.

Maybe hedging that if the original buyer has a money pooping problem they want a second buyer waiting. "Buyer on stand by" if you will. This is starting to happen, maybe not related.

CJ commented on an earlier thread that the Porsche dealer inventory system automatically puts them on Autotrader.

One of those may be legit. There is a $207k price in an Agate Grey nicely equipped. My gut tells me a non PTS car could be built for 207.

If you check every option and PTS you can make a GT3 $207k sticker.

$207 has ADM in it.

Anyone notice CJ's dealer Porsche Fresno has a $147k car showing. Now that is a stripper. Obviously it is a sold customer car, but cool none the less to see someone order one that way.

It's this one?

https://circleporsche.com/inventory/...tallic+1464745

The MSRP is $176,940 and the car is probably available and with a $30k ADM.

It's a shame that Circle has done that...they lost their good guy dealer status in my opinion.

Yes our customer literally ordered the most basic basic spec. I was personally shocked. It arrived a few days ago and he takes possession today
