There seems to be enough data points recently that big adm’s just really aren’t holding. Patience will be rewarded.
I wouldn’t even pay $5,000 ADM on that build

don't pay ADM and it will eventually go away - just like all the GT3RS sitting at dealer's the last 18 months...

You mean everyone that sold significantly over MSRP? Because every new RS sitting on dealer lots with an ADM ask during the last year eventually sold at way over sticker. There might be one or two still straggling out there, but a number of the remaining recently sold for material ADMs.

Hopefully AMDs will go away in the future, but it'll be for demand side reasons, because dealers are making too much money using the ADM model. Until the economy tanks or Porsche decides to crank up production, ADMs are going to be a reality for a lot of buyers.

Here's lightly optioned Miami Blue, manual, available. MSRP=$160,650. They want ADM of course.

Good morning gentlemen,

What is your opinion of a dealer who knows they will only get 2 or 3 GT3 allocations, and yet they take 38 deposits? Do you think that is a good business practice or a bad business practice?

Just curious what your opinions are.

That they have a $38,000 loan interest free for what 2-4 years?

On the flip side.....what about the customer that puts multiple deposits at different dealers?.....customers can get their deposit back....it's not like the dealer is taking their money and running....a long list can quickly shrink when people no longer want it or get it elsewhere.....if the dealer tells the person they're #30 on the list then they don't have to leave a deposit if they don't want

Does the customer know the list is 38 long and the dealer only receives 2-3 cars? If yes, then no foul, its the customer's choice. If no, kind of a d**k move.

I know of a midwest dealer like this and they wouldn't take deposits after ~20 on the list, even though they predicted they get 5-7 GT3s each gen.
