Jason, its not new. I bought my first GT3 in 04 and easily got it for MSRP. Then the 997.1s came out and they were really easy to get around MSRP 2-5K over, because the first RS's came out and those were going for 40K over, then the 997.2 GT3s came out and the GT3 was going for a little over but the RSs were going for alot over. When the first 4 liter came out the AMD really hit the sky. I dont remember the 991.1 going for more than 10 over maybe more because again the RS was the hot ticket and had the 4 liter PLUS the 991.1 had the fire issue. so that cooled things off.
And its always the guys who get in buy the car and get out, very rarely the enthusiast who is going to keep the car. So the dealers get a short squirt of cash and the speculator gets his squirt of cash and then the enthusiast gets his car and a sore rear end.
I told my dealer here in Boise before they even KNEW about the new 3 and they had to call the autogallery in LA to get the CORRECT ADM before offering me the car at $25 K over and my 911 then months early. I dont know if I want to wait for the market to settle or get a 991.1.
Good luck to all of you guys. I too wrote PCNA. No good either.
This pisses me off too because I have bought 6 911s and have spent 800K on those cars and have stayed loyal longer (40 years) than the guy that walked in and bought a 918 or CGT and got an RS at MSRP. But Porsche could care less. Its enough to make me buy a Camaro SS ILE package and save a $100k. But I will probably buy a CPO 3 from Porsche Fresno.
Tesla announced another super fast appliance tonight....
Yes exactly and judging from the fanboishness in the other thread soon there'll be scores of Porsche buyers scorning combustion cars as if they were donkey carts, so adms might come down big in a not so distant future.
I stopped by last night...nice place. They have 2 GT3s as you've described above. They don't seem to want to move off the ADMs and I was told they've already sold several with these same mark-ups.

Ha! They are asking $45K over around here. Just saw that on a showroom car yesterday. And they already sold some at that markup.
Talked to another dealer locally on Sunday. They are asking even more and "settling" for $45K over, LOL. And they sold them too. I have known this salesperson for years. He was just telling me these stories. This new GT3 is breaking all the records of the previous ones in terms of market fever.
When the Touring Package gets here in 2 months, the next wave will begin.

And it'll be 10x worse when the GT3RS and GT2RS hits the dealer's floor.
